Destiny 1 released in 2014.
Destiny 2 released in 2017.
It is now 2022.
We still do not have hardly any shaders with an actual 'black' color scheme or dominant primary color. They're either washed out, faded black; dark grey; or accented with odd or unfavorable colors.
Even an Eververse-exclusive shaders using Black as the primary color would be acceptable at this point. Yet, no.
The Guardians aren't at war with the Darkness - it's really the color Black.

I could totally go for a Batman shader for my hunter guardian right now
-
9 RepliesShaders are so all over the place. Equip certain ones excepting the actual colour in the 4 parameters and get something totally stupid.
-
Their blacks aren’t true, more like a medium-dark grey or charcoal.
-
1 ReplyIt's not just black. All the shaders are bland. In D1 I could make my titan look like iron man, with vibrant reds and yellows. Then there was glowhoo, awesome! In D2 there are hundreds of shaders, but really only 10-20 shaders.

Basalt Toxic is my fav … deep black, with ascendant green accents.
-
2 RepliesHunter crucible mains are malding that they can’t have their character be completely black except for glowing red eyes.
-
1 ReplyMaybe just because it's boring.
-
1 ReplyYou edge lords need to chill seriously
-
We have plenty of dark shaders. As indicated by the fact that every sweatlord PvP Hunter main is covered in all black. What are you on about?
-
6 RepliesAmethyst veil. Metro shift. Abyssinian gold. Shrouded stripes. Jacarina. Skeleghaul. Your welcome.

2 RepliesI want some outright obnoxious shaders. I’m talking full on Easter Egg and Ugly X-Mas sweater colors.

I love using the rustberry shader for its deeply cold black and charcoal grey parts. Looks amazing on armored armor. It just kinda sucks that 90% of the armor in this game has some leather or fabric that gets shaded brown and white. The white is a harshly clean white and really clashes with the dark colors.

Oil gunmetal is a badass shader

1 ReplyEdited by neonsox42: 3/4/2022 4:49:10 PMBungie just needs to make one already. Idk why everyone wants all black shaders monotone stuff just makes you look like a power ranger. I’m not an edge-lord. I like some black on my armor, but accents are nice (my warlock for example)
-
I honestly want the opposite :( I wish there were more bright (bold) colors They need to introduce like matte colors without the shine to it. Pls bungie🥺 I think they’re staying away from black shaders because of certain areas of the game where it’s already hard to see. Just my guess though.

I guess it’s because you kids would look too edgy.
-
Small point but black isn't a colour, it's achromatic (without chroma/pigment) Other than that I'd agree though should be a shader for many base colours and shades :)
-
We literally have a Hulk shader but still no black
-
1 ReplyCause then most majority of people will wear black . Would mess with the game .
-
I just want a decent pink and black shader that just makes your armor pink and sleeves black anything else on your fashion thats like a chain can be gold idk a shader that does that man
-
1 ReplyPlayers: black! black! black! black! Bungie: ok ok ok……watermelon!

Edited by Olórin: 3/4/2022 5:18:42 PMBit OTT to exclaim they hate a specific colour. However, I wouldn't mind Bungie giving us a Custom Shader system, with every RGB colour palette available and the texture/patterns selectable from new/older shaders. But then again, we all know how that'll go, you gotta do [X] activity to get [X] materials, with said [X] materials you gotta take to [X] crafting station and then from there you have ability to craft 1/4 section of the shader.
