7 RepliesIt astounds me that people on here still, STILL believe that hunters are the meta in crucible. And they think theres no argument about it, they think its obvious and not even a close competition. So disconnected from reality it is crazy

Edited by Infamous067: 3/2/2022 4:56:46 AMI play warlock and I remember every hunter crying about hand held grenades and icarus dash or chaos reach being so easy to spam even though warlocks are supposed to be the mage class lol. Lets be honest, all classes complain about each other, the only reason hunters are hated more is because more than half of the destiny population uses hunters that use and abuse certain abilities to cheese their way to victory. Shatterdive, invisibility with chaperone or a fusion, dodge used to break grenade projectiles, dodge still breaking aim assist in the middle of a fight, worm husk used to grant a crap ton of health for doing nothing but using an ability thats easy to spam every 11 seconds etc. hunters are known to break pvp more than the other classes and the devs takes forever to nerf them. thats just a fact. I for one don’t want any class to suck, I want them all to feel strong but not OP or broken compared to other classes. I am totally fine when it gets to nerfing stuff, pre nerf nova warp was nightmare, it got nerfed within a month. I accepted the nerf just fine but it took forever for bungie to buff it and make it an Ok super. Hunters that ran shatter dive on the other hand lasted months before bungie finally fixed it. Thats why you see more complains about hunters compared to other classes

7 RepliesThat's okay, Titan mains get trashed for not being hunters and warlocks. (But you do kinda have to admit that the Silence & Squall is super-overpowered. Even worse than Spectral Blades, worse than Nova Warp, worse than Stormtrance. It's a roaming super that you don't even need to roam with, you cast it and then go back to shooting. If your opponent doesn't spot or ignores the squall, they're frozen; if they run around trying to avoid being frozen, you get to shoot at them with no return fire. Double whammy.)

I put it down to the cloaks which make Hunters look cool. In pvp they are the most popular class (most likely the cool factor and the reputation they have at been the best pvp class before all the nerfs) so all a opposition player sees is "killed by a Hunter" again and again not thinking it is different players. Also look at all the times someone wants a cloak for his or her favourite class (looking at you Titan mains) and don't like it that Hunters not them get such a cool item. This hate causes players to call for nerfs against Hunters more than any real claims of they are OP. This causes Bungie to say "OK we need to do something because of these complaints". This brings up more hate when Bungie then has to balance other classes to match Hunters. Hunters are now in a poor position especially in none pvp team activities as they have been hindered so much by nerfs.

26 RepliesIt’s mostly warlocks crying. Seriously every time I look at a post or comment that’s salty or asking for a Hunter nerf, it’s a warlock main. Hunters are the kings of crucible. GET USED TO IT. now put down your well so I can do more damage in PVE. Lmaoooo.

3 RepliesEveryone gravitates toward playing the class they “want” to play. Which should not be confused with the class they “should/need” to play. Some folks simply continue to beat their head against the wall of failure out of a deep desire to play the class they think they are good at,…instead of the class they are actually good at, and is likely more suited to their play style. As a result, they continue to be sub-par in PvP-related activities (and some PvP even) without improvement,…because they are trying to ‘make their shark climb a tree’ and can’t figure out why it doesn’t work for them. So,…they hate on other classes, scream foul, and demand nerfs. Simple.

Hunter's tend to get trashed on (mostly for pvp reasons) because they are in abundance and typically their blatantly OP BS goes untouched for months or even years on end while other classes get something fun one day and then get it taken away soon after. Warlocks and Titans may have the same amount of busted and annoying crap to play against but when an overwhelming amount of pvp matches you play are dominated by Hunters spamming the same meta crap, it's easy to see why Hunter hate is constant.
