When can i change my name?
My normal name was taken from me for ''breaking codes of conduct'' last time i checked the name i had didn't have any profanity in it. i've waited from begining of season of the lost until witch queen for them to allow name changes but i'm still stuck as ''Guardian2731''. Any news about when bungie decides to let the playerbase change their names?.
Ps. I've seen a lot of names that have a lot of profanity in them after the whole crossplay thing went live but my seemingly normal name was removed.

So I went back to play their dead game and found my name is Guardian#### wtf is this ???!! when can I change it back???

My psn is aloner420stoner and I’m now stuck with guardian#watever… so it’s perfectly ok to have killer and murder in your name (which I’ve seen) but we’re flagging the word Stoner or the #420? 😂 😂

Bungie said some time in the Winter, so within the next three weeks. It's still amusing seeing people with a generic "Guardian" name. It's like a mark of shame.

I leavened cross play was a thing and quickly set up my steam and grabbed destiny. Since i handy really set up steam yet it used my real name as my display name for steam. And since steam was where destiny was bungie made my name use my steam name which I didn’t realize wasn’t changeable. So my display name is my real name. I asked on another post about this and someone said with witch queen we were supposed to get it. Either I can’t find it or they didn’t. My names before cross play was Darksquirrel.

I am also stuck as guardianXXXX I hadn't played for over a year, and hadn't been keeping up with the new naming system rules. So when I logged in for the first time I guess since I had a smiley face symbol in my name on steam I became guardianXXXX. Also I just wanted to say for all the people saying "you should have known.. you made the mistake.. you probably had a racist name.. etc" I want to point out that when it automatically changed my name it didn't give a warning or anything. My name was Old Whiskey Jack. so not racist or childish. I just had a :) emoji. Very frustrating to get locked to a placeholder name in a social game with literally no word from bungie other than a vague statement about maybe sometime in the "winter"
