Rapid hit is what makes the most sense of this already sluggish pulse rifle. Outlaw is best against minor enemies, but rapid hit is better against champions and bosses. It would be a quality of life update!

same, would take it against unstoppables in GM if it had rapid hit.

1 ReplyGive it vorpal. Let it be the boss melter it was always meant to be.

Edited by ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ: 2/12/2022 11:55:12 PMI believe I’d rather have the nanites last 5-7 seconds longer, after a kill. In addition, an extra 4 nanites would be nice.
-
You know there's a thing called AEON gauntlets for that method
-
6 RepliesMaybe it's meant for killing ads. So outlaw works fine. If they wanted fast reload on any precision hit, they probably would have already.... Why stop at rapid hit, why not ask for shoot to loot, or kill clip and rampage, auto loading holster, magnificent howl? Just go crazy!?!?
-
It’s already getting auto fire in the accessibility settings they probably will feel like that’s a buff enough most likely
-
1 ReplyWell… It’s getting a 40% pve buff to minors next season. It’ll probably drop red bar ads ads in gems in maybe 3 or 4 bursts.
-
3 RepliesUse AEON exotic arms

To be fair, outbreak perfected is in its own league, may not be as perfect as other weapons that can outplay it, but it is basically a crutch for newer PvP’ers. Get a whole PvE fireteam together with it and watch bad guys drop like flies.
-
Any buff to Outbreak would only upset its cousin No Time and bungie does not like when the cousins bicker.

7 RepliesThe gun already has low recoil. I can see this gun becoming a meta and this gun will ultimately be nerfed into oblivion if increased any further. "I would hate for you to choke on your aspirations" -Vader

3 RepliesEdited by Xero: 2/11/2022 12:14:08 PMTrade off will be an increase in recoil then. Can't go "breaking the game" by giving it Rapid Hit. Too many Guardians will grip it tightly once it's out, and you know where that inevitably leads, right?
Exotic Perk - Parasitism: This weapon does more damage to enemies based on the number of SIVA nanites that attach to them. Exotic Catalyst - Disease Vector: Increases nanite damage. Enemies that die with nanites attached to them generate additional nanites.
It also does more damage the more Fireteam members who have it equipped. Recap six man teams with Outbreak at SoTP and other Raids. There are some video floating around, and it hasn't been touched much since if I recall correctly. At least not specifically targeted. If the Primary buff that happened a while back also applies to it, then it's fine. Rapid Hit is just asking for blanket nerfs to it in the same week. Besides, how often are we not trying to get a headshot to kill our enemies? Use common sense lol. I'd leave good enough alone. Besides, the initials of the weapon means that it's OP to begin with. :P If you want something experimental try a Stasis Warlock with Chromatic Fire + Outbreak Perfected. Customize your Fragments, and you'll see some nice synergy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2 RepliesI see two opinions about the gun: “it’s for ad clear so just keep outlaw” and “it’s for bosses so make it rapid hit”. Here is my take as someone who mains the gun religiously with it being number 1 as my most used gun: it’s both. HOWEVER, rapid hit will GREATLY benefit the weapon in both departments as it adds sustainable boss damage with the reload buffs but also still rewards you for hitting heads on trash mobs. I feel like people who say “just keep outlaw” don’t use the gun at all. Because they clearly don’t understand it’s full range of use. Besides, rapid hit won’t break the weapon, you still need a full group to get to those big dps numbers and most people won’t want to do that. I see everyone on the forums complaining about bungie nerfing things yet some will just say no to any form of buffs. Like huh???

1 ReplyAnd needs to fire full auto as well.
-
12 RepliesWould be wayyyyyy too broken dude. Any halfway decent player would absolutely destroy everything with it. It’s fine like it is.
-
1 ReplyAlso, make the nanites explode into Wolfpack rounds.
-
you realize this completely eliminates the purpose of exotic perks. If you feel Outbreak is not good against champions, use another pulse rifle with the perks you want. I do just fine with it - it's personal perspective.
-
10 RepliesEdited by AQME: 2/11/2022 8:53:23 AMLiterally no reason to not want this. Rapid hit would make it great for bosses and if bungie are pushing for more exotic primary use anyway with the upcoming changes this would be a great addition

3 RepliesEdited by Interpol89: 2/11/2022 4:13:17 AMThe longer the weapon shoots, the more stable the weapon becomes. I’m sure that someone can remember the name of the perk from D1. It has already been tested by different content creators, so rapid hit will do nothing for the weapon. Edit: It was “persistence “ in D1, and it’s “Dynamic sway reduction “ in D2.
-
5 RepliesI highly agree to this, the nanites only spawn on consistent shots on an enemy. Outlaw requires a kill and rapid hit only requires consistent shots to proc. Its a no brainer outlaw makes no sense on outbreak over rapid hit. Its a simple request and its a simple buff to the weapon without breaking either pvp or pve.
-
5 RepliesI'm OK with outlaw. If you hit a boss with enough crits, you already get extra damage from the nanites.
-
I thought it intrinsically had this? As a hidden perk..
-
As much as I love outbreak and want that perk instead I dont forsee that change ever happening because the gun intrinsically has the d1 perk persistence built into it so it already technically gets part of what rapid hit does being increasing the stability/ accuracy as it fires more just no reload increase
-
I’ve been asking this forever and keep getting downvoted. For some reason, people don’t want it changed.
-
1 ReplyKeep outlaw and just add rapid hit as an intrinsic perk.

desperado?
