If Bungie wanted to nerf the dodge, then they could have just removed the fact that it broke projectile tracking and leave it at that. The increased cooldown just makes the class feel clunky and slow. Hunters are intended to be the stealthy/agile class, but they have always had the slowest movement and now don’t have their main movement ability up nearly as often. There is no reason that both warlocks and titans can outpace a hunter. Dodge has the lowest killing potential as it itself does no damage and can’t heal you without the aid of an exotic.
Titan shoulder charge wasn’t a problem. The nerf makes no sense as it doesn’t accomplish anything. Shoulder charge was easy to counter but the nerf makes it completely useless outside of a movement tool which again doesn’t make sense.
Bonus point* if glacier nades no longer freeze on impact then neither should the warlock melee. It needs to be all or nothing. Make glacier nades and fragments unable to one shot people, unless they are directly in the middle and keep the ability freeze or get rid of the warlock melee freeze. There is no consistency.

Shoulder charge got buffed. Just shows you don’t play high sens :D

3 RepliesI just think it's dumb because it was a hard nerf to dragon's shadow. Now warlocks are even better in PvP because of ophidians
-
The dodge change stings, but I can live with it. I can't live with shoulder charge nerf. Imagine risking your life to point-blank slam some dude and not even kill him while he can just turn your direction and shotgun blast you for free.
-
3 Repliesdude your such a clown, like imagine needing dodge to live, imagine needing shoulder charge to get kills
-
9 RepliesDodge nerf was 100% needed.
-
6 RepliesShoulder charge nerf was 100% needed.
-
5 RepliesPenumbral blast is slow and has no tracking and has a smaller AoE than a rift....if you remove freeze from shadebinder completely it has nothing going for it outside of the super which is honestly not that good since the nerf
-
36 Repliesi main hunter and i think the change is very healthy for the game. Dodge is the most op ability in the game and hunter needed some nerfs anyway.
-
Bungie’s updates are experiments that aren’t well thought out. The previous update was the best it’s ever been besides the stupid shatterdive.

1 ReplySomeone can't handle that they can't rely on crutches anymore! Keep crying, bot. This is the future.
-
12 RepliesImagine playing an FPS to just crutch abilities and space magic? You have thumbs (hopefully), aim and shoot, use your abilities when needed.

Slowest movement made up for with highest agility. Stompees are insane, better neutral movement, better jump and better slide... Even at tier 8 recovery the rift is still on a 50 second cooldown by the way, the dodge is fine and better for PvP anyway.
-
I agree with the shoulder charge statement but I'm entirely unbothered by the dodge nerf. Doesn't affect my skill I'm the slightest. As for the glacier nade nerf, it was needed. It performs strong enough as cover AND area lockdown.

9 RepliesI usually burn my dodge so it doesn’t interfere with crouch strafing, so idk if it makes us feel any slower. Objectively, it does hurt competitive exotics like Dragon’s Shadow and some fun ones like Bombardiers and Radiant Dance Machines, which kinda sucks though. I mean since every hunter is apparently a “dOdGe cRuTcH nO-sKiLl lOsEr” thanks to the benefits dodge gave on a low cooldown, I guess a nerf needed to happen to tone down the amount of barrel roll and cha-cha slide usage. I can get behind nerfing Gambler’s Dodge, but a 7 second nerf (on Tier 10) is kind of annoying. Of course, if that’s in line with how slow every ability is then I really don’t care. I play hunter cause I like the movement and ig a nerf to dodge does hamper that movement like you said, but it’ll still (probably) be good since you can just yeet out of a gunfight. That’s just my 2 cents, feel free to agree or disagree.

1 ReplyGotta be honest, haven't really noticed a huge amount of difference. On hunter I run 100 mobility and 100 grenade.. never have to wait too long (for dusk field anyway)
-
1 ReplyGlacier grenades deserved the nerf, shatterdive was completelly out of hand, it will stay the way it is today forever
-
It was like for five seconds at tier 3. And what hunter doesn’t run tier 5 or higher mobility? Come on, it was hardly a nerf.
-
I agree that dodge was broken but the shoulder charge not killing is way too much. I think adding more time before it activated or slowing movement speed would of sufficed. Middle tree void warlock is absolute trash now tho they ruined an already not great subclass
-
And of course it was the complains coming from the usual streamers like Datto (he completely lost my respect) causing all these nerfs. No surprise here.
-
11 Replies"Warlock melee should not be able to freeze on impact"? I agree 100% Also Lorentz driver needs a hard nerf

I main a titan, and I feel like they should’ve just gotten rid of the tracking thing with the dodge as well. Without that, the dodge wouldn’t be too annoying to deal with when used frequently because it would be less of a ‘get out of jail free card.’
-
The dodge nerf is an essential pve nerf for my hunter.

absolutely

For dodge I don’t have an answer, however have we all forgotten about PEREGRINE GRREEAAVVESS
