Oryx was given the power to take, once he died the mantle fell to Savathun only because she had quaria who was not only strong but could simulate taking. Now Quarias dead, the entity that originally had the power to take has remained control and given it to Xivu Arath and tasked her to hunt down her sister.

They say "there are greater things in the dark than hive gods" which sounds crazy! God I want a brand new enemy type so bad. This game desperately needs it! Bring on the xenomorphs!

3 RepliesApparently Oryx never created the Taken he simple borrowed them from they’re original owner. Considering what we know of Primevals I would assume this is true. As we know the Hive have the worm gods above them but there is something above the worm gods as well. Which one would assume the Veil or the winnower however you want to put it.
