In pve this weapon is essentially a solar kohvostov that takes up your exotic slot. its exotic perk is that it's a 360 rpm auto-rifle... Bungie that's not a perk! It's magazine option that 'significantly' increases it's magazine size, only increases it by (1 round) compared to (other 360 rpm autos), it has no normal weapon perks and its exotic trait 'overcharge' goes away when swapping weapons, requires 8 red-bar kills to get max stacks, its secondary fire mode does less damage than arbalest and if you land a body shot with that fire mode you are severely punished with a massive damage drop-off. Further more this weapon's main utility of being able to switch to close range weapons with mythoclast equiped without sacrificing your range which is a great tool for the sandbox is ruined by it's stacks of overcharge going away when you swap weapons, thus forcing you to only use mythoclast. And I'm not done, it's catalyst the only possible source of redemption for the gun increases the stability for stacks of overcharge? the weapon does not need stability in pve aswell as forcing you to keep your stacks of overcharge and NOT switch to the linear fusion mode which is the whole reason of even using the weapon in the first place. This catalyst is a joke. I wish I could say the gun is good but it's not. It comes from a PVE ENDGAME activity that people use META WEAPONS to complete, only to getKOHVOSTOV that takes up your EXOTIC SLOT! Please buff this weapon it really needs it, it has NO place in the sandbox for PVE!

4 RepliesIt's another Tarrabah. Completely useless. Stop making weapons that can't be stowed!!!!! It sounds like the Vex's problems run deeper than that, but let's start with changing that first.

Edited by EnderPlayz_5: 6/3/2021 6:22:08 PMIt’s a fun weapon, it’s not as bad as you make it sound. It just needs a range buff and the ability to keep stacks when you show it. The catalyst should also add inbuilt rampage.*edit* and I forgot to mention, it deals lesser damage than an arbalest because it uses primary ammo.

1 ReplyIt's fine in PvP? Lol yeah okay

1 ReplyIts fine in pvp? you must be a pve player. In what world has a 360 auto rifle archetype ever been viable? Its the worse auto rifle archetype. Vex needs buffs across the board. The catalyst doesn’t do anything and the linear fusion mode takes too long to take advantage of it.

So I just got it today and I gotta say... pretty disappointed. It's meh in PVE and terrible in PVP. The TTK in PVP is embarrassing. The only way to get kills with the worst 360 rpm in the game is to strafe back and forth like you're having a seizure in hopes you can live long enough to kill. Even if you do live long enough to use the bolts, the charge time is again terrible for the damage output. I pulled out a Farewell sidearm and was destroying players vs using the Vex. That's a primary sidearm... My suggestion is a tiny impact nudge, and either a massive stability buff (a permanent non-catalyst one) or a medium range/stability buff.

5 RepliesThey can't buff it because casuals who dont/won't raid for their own silly reasons will complain that it's unfair that people are getting something powerful that they don't wanna grind for. Tale as old as time

Let me introduce you to my friend tarrabah.

or a nerf in september

I managed to get Mythoclast and what i noticed from the Weapon is it’s Linear Fusion Mode is a waste. Killing Red Bars to get a maxed stacked Linear Mode that would do less damage than a Legendary Sniper but if i don’t use it, it would take a while for it to chip off Health from a Orange/Yellow Bar.

5 RepliesI mean... In Destiny 1 it was never really meta whatsoever either, and this is no different. It's a very ok and niche weapon in pvp, and in pve its also very ok. Not every raid weapon needs to be insane or even meta, and its totally ok for them to just be "ok". Eyes of tomorrow is very ok in the same regard, and sees very little use just like this. No buff is needed for either of these weapons unless Bungie really really wants to shift the meta up, which they likely wont do for a bit.

They should make it do damage like a fusion rifle no precision damage just base damage (below prescision for 360 autos but close enough). I also think that no shotgun outside of precision frame slugs should do precision damage.
