If you are new to d2 and have the money, get the deluxe edition of beyond light. All past exotics quests/seasons of the year will be there for you. Yes... it is worth it. No.. it is not d1 anymore other than the recycled content that they have put into d2. It would not be a waste of time/money for someone not too familiar with the past 4 years. You would probably get a solid 2 months of playtime out of your money spent. The issues with d2 is that us that played since day 1 are still doing the exact same grind for two years now. It is $10 every season to do something new... but you still have to continually go back to the stale grind. PvP is a mixed bag. I actually enjoy iron banner, but absolutely hate touching pvp otherwise. It would most likely be fine for you as a “new” player. As the core grind grows more stale, we then nitpick for our own reasons. Saying all of that... yes it is worth it and you will enjoy your time as newer player. Beyond light was good. The exotic quests are very cool. The gameplay is far stronger than d1. There are bugs... but the frustrations of said bugs really stand out to long time players. If you are PvP focused... play the free version for a bit before purchasing.

I’d say no. I regret investing and I’ve been playing since D1. Stasis has ruined PVP. The game for PVE is fine and if that’s your main focus then Id say try it for a while then consider investing. But if your like my clan mates and I you like to play both PVP and PVE then don’t invest

Only a couple days left in this season, might wait until Tues reset to buy what you want to buy. As for buying older content, it's up to you. You might not be able to get old season exotics like deadmans tale or hawkmoon without the old seasons.

So you have a choice to buy the pass, but it won't give you all the DLC's, they come separate. If you want all other BL Seasons then you have to get Beyond Light Deluxe Edition. But don't get the s13 pass as there is only 1 more day left.
