It’s actually proof they’re listening, since they acknowledged early that there wasn’t enough new to replace what was sunset. This is clearly the first step in fixing it.

-
Your either an idiot or a fanboy or most likely a bungie employee.
-
Of course. Because people cant have different opinions.
-
Fixing a problem you intentionally caused, isn't exactly what I would call..."listening"
-
It was clearly not intended, and they said so. Grow up.
-
They said it wasn't intended? 🤔 You know that means 1 or 2 things. 1. They're lying to your face 2. They're grossly inept. Bungie has been making destiny content... For over 6 years... How can sunsetting resulting in players feeling a lack of loot, not be intentional? Did they want people to feel this way? Probably not. But there's no way in hell, they didn't see this coming. It's mind boggling to think these complaints are catching them by surprise
-
Of course! It’s always a conspiracy. Or utter incompetence. Only two choices.
If you’re a spoiled child.
-
So then what is it?
-
So then what is it?
Exactly what they said. They misjudged, and now they’re fixing it.
-
Exactly what they said. They misjudged, and now they’re fixing it.
You either have to have the forgiveness of a saint, or to be a total fool, to believe them on their word at this point, taking your word for how long you said you've played. How many times have they grossly mishandled something (Trials, seasonal quests) or just flat-out lied ("Renewed focus on PvP," XP throttling?) Is it malice, or is it incompetence? Knowing how Luke "Throw your money at the screen" Smith thinks of his players, I'll go with the former. It's been 6 years. They knew exactly what they were doing, and it's backfiring.
And it won't stop until they revert the decision entirely.
You need to not cut them so much slack with these scummy design decisions. Not asking to screech from the rooftops, but call them out when they need to be called out. Being contrarian for the sake of it makes you look like a blind fanboy.
-
Just because you don’t like a decision doesn’t mean you’re being lied to. Or that anybody’s incompetent.
-
I don't think they're lying because I don't like it.
Although I don't.
It's because I know I've been lied to.
-
Except you haven’t provided a single example. You sound like those kids who can’t read claiming Bungie is forcing Crucible outcomes because they said the goal of SBMM was 50-50 win-loss.
-
"Renewed focus on PvP" in Shadowkeep. Secretly throttling XP in Year 1 to increase bright engram sales. "You see that mountain..?" I know I've been lied to. The entire franchise has been built upon the lie that was Destiny 1.
-
Except none of those are lies. Planning to have the world completely open and then having to scale back is not a lie.
-
Knew you'd go straight to that one. This may be a bit much, but can you find any trace of them stating them doing this? BEFORE release?
-
Not being told in advance is hardly lying.
-
Yes, true. But if you're selling something, that's a different story.
-
Not even a little. Read the ToS, and then tell me again how they owe you advance approval of any changes.
-
...? ? ??? Did you even read what we were saying, or you going Bungie Defense Force on me?
-
You’re claiming they somehow owe you notice of changes. They don’t. Try to keep up.
-
It's called false advertising. Are you seriously defending false advertising? They owed selling the product they were advertising to begin with.
-
There was no false advertising. To test your theory, spend the cash for a legal consult and see if you’re not laughed out of the office.
-
Well, I can't do that, because I'm not a time traveler. Are you a time lord? You could apparently read the TOS before the game released in 2014. Remember, we're still talking about how they advertised the scale of the game, which was the lie you pointed out.
-
It wasn’t a lie, and it wasn’t false advertising. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
-
They misjudged what?
