Still haven’t fixed the glitching where the mf-ing orbs won’t take damage and have to restart the gd mission again. Like wtf are you guys doing? Wtf was that bs not fixed!?!?!?

Went to three different public events in Tangled Shore. Each one, the moment I stepped into range it despawned and gave me a normal reward. Without firing one shot. I get people need to spend some holiday time, but there’s no excuse for the sheer amount of bugs left in. Believe it or not, Bungie, your ONLINE GAME keeps running even when you’re not watching it!

Apparently don't use a sidearm. Funny that one weapon type breaks the whole mission. Good to know that since that is why it was breaking for me.

1 ReplyI've done it about 6-8 times now and never had it glitch, though, unfortunately, you can't just nuke the boss and/or the blight. A single slug/buckshot from a shotgun is enough to open the portal without issue. A primary weapon can do enough damage to the High Celebrant while under the Wrathful buff to keep the pace smooth, though peppering a shot or two of special ammo shouldn't hurt. At least you can nuke the boss without consequence once you reach the final arena though.

1 ReplyUsing a sniper to shoot the orbs works. Apparently they only register single, high damage shots. Give it a try.

I've done 15 solo runs without it glitching at all. If you do too much damage yo either the High Celebrant or the blight it will glitch from the videos I've watched. I ran 1 with a clanmate and we both shot the blight orb at the same time with a slug shotgun (only 1 shot is required, 2 is too much and will cause it to glitch) Take your time and damage the Celebrant with primary weapons for a glitch free run. Only shoot the blight once and wait a few seconds after the dialog is done each time.

Do it solo. It might be BS, but at least it works like that. Don't damage the boss too quick, wait a few seconds before shooting the orb, I've run it multiple times without issue

You do realize this is the same company that has given us at least 2 impossible community quests (before progress was multiplied), one of which was a s*** reward considering the rewards could've been obtained multiple times in under an hour, and the other one was glitched for a week or two? If they can f*** up community quests in more ways than one, especially as bad as they messed up on Felwinter's, do you really think they'll have this fixed by the end of the season? There's no point for the simple fact it can still be done and you have a little less than a month to do it. The time spent fixing this when the reward is a cosmetic could instead be used to prepare for next season.

Didn't have any issues last week on console and I did 3 runs for each character. This week I'm enjoying the PC life and started knocking out weekly pinnacles. Not knowing of any issues I launched the mission. First run with my usual set up chunked 2/3rds his health on the first encounter, he froze in place and no adds spawned. Second run throttle back the damage but then the portal didn't open. Thinking I had to wait for dialog to end I did a third run nothing happened. Finally after slowly drawing out the first encounter I went across the room, waited for all the dialog to end, and opened the portal with a side arm. Drew out the next encounter the same way and went across the room to open the portal with a side arm doing the same amount of damage as the first one (about 650 damage), but nothing happened. Normally I am patient and would keep trying if I realize what the fault pattern was, but to go from speed running to walking through a drawn out mission is not for me. I like to get things done.

1 ReplyFor me it worked by expecting the timing on the orbs appearing and using Eriana's the exact moment they appear. The bug where they become invulnerable activates when the weird secondary teleportation effect is played so you have a slight window to destroy it. But even then the stability of the mission is absolutely unacceptable.

5 RepliesIt’s not rocket science how to complete it. Kill the orange bars 1st. Stand in glowing circle and slowly take down the bosses health. Shoot orb, open portal, proceed forward. Not hard. Each run takes approx 10mins.
