Lots of Contacting Destiny 2 Servers, Xbox Series X
Tonight (Friday 18 December) I'm getting Contacting Destiny 2 Servers a lot. Probably 5 times in the last hour. Making the game basically unplayable.
My Internet is fine. I'm in party chat the entire time, there are no audio drops, the party isn't disconnecting. I'm at my computer at the same time as well and not seeing any issues with Destiny Item Manager or other web pages.
While typing this, it just happened again. Kicked to title screen after Contacting Destiny Servers. I'm trying to raid with my friends and it just won't work.

2 RepliesSame just happened to me on Xbox Series S repeatedly. ANTEATER and WEASEL happened multiple times - kicking me out of 2 raid encounters, but not from party chat. Reset my network and Series S just to be safe - loaded back in and got “Contacting Destiny Servers” and immune enemies for 4 more runs on Tankis, Phase 2. Since Beyond Light and getting the Next Gen update for D2, I’ve had more errors than I care to count. During this one raid run - 10 times I was disconnected from my fireteam.

2 RepliesConnection quality is trash. Enemies that are dead are still shooting me 5 second after they died. Invisible enemies, including Guardians in Crucible, are everywhere. Bungie must have "forgot" to pay their internet bill and moved their server (a commodore 64 with 28.8 Kbaud modem and dual floppy drive) near a free WiFi Tim Hortons to save money.

1 ReplyI’m thinking it’s the new world order. To many variables to be an ATT thing. The Hotel might have ATT but I’m not certain. It’s not a next gen issue because it’s happening to me as well. They want us to be uncomfortable and off our game. First is the vaccine then Destiny. After that it’s pretty easy. Without our Fireteams we are vulnerable. Stay strong Guardians! We fight for a better tomorrow! well mostly for pinnacle gear

Hello! According to https://downdetector.com/ there are several games and services having issues as of recently. This may be an Internet backbone issue and may or may not be related to Destiny servers.

Weasels are running rampant every few mins on Series X.
