A strange man walks into the tavern, who bears a striking similarity to John Watson. However, he takes the appearance of an elf and not a human, short and thin with obsidian black skin, white hair, and glaring red eyes. The man wears a heavy black travelers cloak and finely crafted leather armor. Hanging on his belt is a sword of a dagger befit a king. Their scabbards are well crafted and decorated with the designs of spiderwebs, the hilts are made of some polished onyx colored material, and the pommel of the dagger has a emerald set into it, whilst the swords pommel is carved to the likeness of a spider. He approaches the bar and takes a seat.
“I’d like a glass of wine. Anything made of underground plants or fungi. The world above has a strange taste in food and wine.”

Edited by Warlock Holmes: 10/25/2020 5:54:23 AMEventually the minute passes. “ khaless nau uss mzild taga dosstan.” The drow mumbles. “What was that you hit me with? What horrid concoction of yours? Does it require injection like that or shall we craft a weapon against enemy sorcerers? Also I believe we should head back to the underdark. Let me cast a spell of teleportation upon thee.”
-
“Nay, my business is not finished here and I have no reason to return before daylight. Perhaps it could be used against enemy sorcerers both drow or not. I have found a great many practitioners of magic in my short trip here. If you, dear archmage, could find out more on how their Magic’s work perhaps I can modify it if needed.”of corse this entire section, and really the whole conversation between the two, is in the drow language.
-
“Perhaps I can learn what arcane arts these surfacers have. Although I do not like social interactions with them. To risky. Perhaps I could cast a spell on you which will help you scout better?” Of course it would all be in Drow. After all they both are drow and why would they speak anything else to each over? What does that mean about our little lines in Drow? Would those be actually in common?
-
“Oh you are just afraid to do anything yourself. A spell on me could work, unless you mean to pay me back for the minute you couldn’t ramble on, and you are the one with expertise in all the arts of the arcane.” Umm, maybe it would be in undercommon. Or they could be in common, that would make for a strange conversation for onlookers.
-
Edited by Warlock Holmes: 10/25/2020 6:08:53 AM“Afraid? I am not afraid of the surfacers. I wish not to interact with those who walk under the sun. I have more important things that occupy my time and that is why this job is yours. Although I could gather some information.” Well the entire thing would be weird for onlookers. You are speaking to a invisible mage after all.
-
“What is so important that you are kept busy in the house? But you are right, this is my job, and one that I have done to a matter of success.”
-
“Arcane research and planning mostly. Typical jobs for the house wizard. Along with making sure you don’t mess things up. What would you expect me to be doing? Lounging around waiting for some attack?”
-
“That’s exactly what I could Imagine you doing. But do not worry, I have trust in your talents and that you would prepare yourself if an attack were to come, while I prepare and organize the rest of the house.”
-
“A simple spell could be worth more than any warrior you have trained. Even if all I did was lounge I would provide extremely valuable. Simone else could train the soldiers, scout the lands, and assassinate our opponents but few can master the will of reality itself.”

I think we know who you are, oh champion of the drow
-
*He turns to whatever is speaking to him, and if nothing at all is he looks to his drink.* “Who are you, O stranger mine, and who do you think I am?”
-
A tiny yellow insect, no bigger than your finger, rests upside down on a fan blade above you. “You remind us of a warrior of old, one called Drizzt.”
-
“Drizzt? I believe I have heard that name before. Tell me, how is this one related to me.”
-
Edited by mmiichael: 10/22/2020 5:06:45 PM“We admit the resemblance is only in appearance.” The fly bows its wings. “Ima Drizzit?”
-
“I may have heard of this man. I have been held to the likeness of many, including one known as Watson.”
-
“Fascinating. You require further study.” The fly remains on the fan blade, just chillin.
-
“Require further study? By who, I though there were enough people watching me already.”
-
The fly does not respond.
-
“Are you going to be mysterious like that? Or is there more that you want?”
-
The fly continues to watch you in silence.
-
“Ahh, and now I’m being silently judged by a fly, a spider, and an insect on a fan that might as well be sitting in a corner with its hood up?”
-
I decide to appear on a barstool down the counter. "It does doesn't it?"
-
He is taken aback when you suddenly appear next to him, but quickly conceals his surprise. “Ahh, someone who shares my tastes. And who might you be?”
-
"Keria. Haven't met very many people from down below." I gesture to my ruby red skin, and black hair,
