That general idea is bad.[/quote] You enjoy the act of violence in video games. You just use the excuse of “they are bad guys so it’s okay” to justify to yourself your enjoyment of that violence. The fact remains though you are taking pleasure from the act of violence itself. Just because they may be digital bad guys doesn’t change the fact that you are finding pleasure in an act of violence.

Can you justify yourself in doing the same thing? I don’t enjoy violence in itself, I enjoy a challenge.

I openly admit to enjoying violence in video games. Anyone who plays video games does. Violence is the core mechanic of most games. You are meant to kill people and enjoy it. Unlike you I am honest about that. There is a difference between fantasy and reality. I enjoy shooting things in video games but I can honestly say I have zero desire to commit violent acts in real life. I don’t even own a gun and have no desire to own one. I’ve never even got into a fight in real life. That’s why I don’t have a problem with video game violence. It’s a fantasy. It’s not reality.
