I'M IN DIRE NEED OF VAULT SPACE BUNGIE!
I'm at the point where I can't go out and farm any new weapons and armor I don't have. There is a lot of raids and other things I want to do but I can't because I'm on the brink of not being able to hold anything else. I'm at the point where I'm in desperate need of Vault space.
I don't like making Vault space posts because they've become a meme at this point and they only attract the trolls who tell you to just clean your vault out. But the fact of the matter is that I'm in desperate need of more space. There is just no way I can farm any of the new content coming up without having to delete stuff I really don't want to. Even if I got rid of any duplicates I'd still need vault space because I'm a collector and I do plan on having at least 1 of every weapon in the collections. There are a lot of armor sets I could transmog but that won't be coming out for a long time.
I don't care if others don't need the space, if they don't want it they don't have to use it. So please Bungie stop ignoring the players who badly need it.

I dont understand why so many people are against them giving more vault space. I'm aware we dont need it but like smith said it himself that destiny is a collection game. If your not going to try and get a good build on each seasons set then why play the game. Not to mention you cant use the mods you liked from past seasons on the newer gear so that in itself is worth having it around. They dont give us new armor each season to throw away. If it has to do with server space or money on their end I wouldnt mind paying at this point. I like to give myself new reasons to play and new things to chase and that includes the weapons too. No you dont need it but destiny is what you make of it and we all have different goals when we log on every day

Don't worry, Bungie fixed that problem for you already with Season 12. You won't need much of Vault any more.

So I have a "god roll" Lonesome (sidearm) that will expire at lvl 1060, and I just got a couple more of them out of umbral engrams that are good till 1360... they were crap so i used one to infuse my old one, but.... it would seem like were gonna be able to just keep farming out replacements of the same weapons with longer expiration dates?? Seems pretty lame to have to farm for another god roll of the same weapon to keep it longer-- i thought the whole point was to make us use new stuff? WTF??

Agreed. You're right, if anyone here doesnt need it, then it will have no affect on them. I hover right around 375 to 400 but I keep very little on my characters and in my actual character inventory so I can find things quickly. I also have very few duplicates. The ones I do have are PVP rolls vs PVE. If Bungie didnt have a habit of changing metas and changing how things work, I would probably delete some things but i dont want to be the fool who deleted things and one week later, boom, "oops, our bad, were changing that back".

1 Reply1. Get rid of elemental armor mod restrictions. As a short term fix let us use the desired armor mods on any element. That gets rid of a lot of armor. 2. Let the new armor use any older mod that we have unlocked and not just 1 old season. 3. Let us upgrade a weapon to add more rows to which we can assign a perk that we unlocked for it. You would still need to grind to unlock perks and pay to add slots, but then you would just have 1 copy in the vault. 4. Gives us real loot management tools in the game itself. Better searching and sorting. Display the stat numbers and not just bars.

Don't worry collections can help... wait, collections don't work for 2.0 items because of their random perks... wait, new armor doesn't drop with perks... wait, collections don't work woth randomly assigned rolled items or items without perks, but allows curated rolls and exotics, even though exotic armor went through a period of randomly rolled perks (even sold from a vendor), that still had a way of using collections. So don't use collections. But you should use collections. But then don't expect to be able to use collections.

1 ReplySame, constantly at 480-490 stuff and I have to go through and dismantle my less amazing babies. With weapons leaving rotation and stuff how can you blame us for hoarding 12 perfect paradox’s with meh rolls. They need to add 50 or so slots each season

Until now there is only Nightmare Hunts, Nightfalls for PvE and Trials and Iron Banner for PvP where you even need a certain power level. With the new expansion there will be the raid. This makes a list of only 5 activities where you even need a high power level! Long story short - Shut up and let us collectors collect as much as we want! Moreover let everyone play the game as they want. With that said.. i would love to see more vault space.

Bungie needs to finish what they started and fix the collection system. They could make it so that whatever role we have already obtained we can choose again whenever we want. So we would no longer have to store all these various roles in our vault.

1 ReplyIncreasing Vault Space is a band-aid fix, not a solution. The main problem is that we are unable to pull out Year 2 and 3 weapons and armor out of the vault. There are a lot of weapons I keep in the vault that I do not currently use, but hold onto just in case the meta shifts, which it does relatively frequently. As an example, I've held onto a "god roll" Redrix that I haven't used in over a year, but next season, they are actually going to be viable. My recommendation is to get rid of a lot of weapons and armor that will be affected by Sunsetting, even though the weapons will be useful in most activities, they will not be able to be used in endgame content, so it's a perfect opportunity to free up some vault space.

I understand something that you don't use often but if you plan on getting a weapon that you aren't going to use why keep it...just check it off in the collections? I think I have 80/500 spaces used. I keep exotics and some weapons I know I'll use if they buff/nerf weapons.
