Bungie: "We made pinnacles and weapons overpowered!"
Sane Person: "If it's overpowered why don't you just nerf it?"
Bungie: "We can't we made them too difficult to get and people will get mad!"
Sane Person: "Then nerf them and make the grind easier."
Bungie: "Ok it looks like it worked."
Sane Person: "What did you do?"
Bungie: "We took all your favorite weapons and are making them not viable in addition to the overpowered weapons which will continue to be a problem until they are entirely unusable."
Sane Person: "But My favorite gun wasn't causing any issues and I worked for this item for like a month!"
Bungie: "Shhh shhhh, we might maybe bring them back later on in which you can get a new drop, so you'll be able to farm it and waste time all over again."
Sane Person: "I'm leaving I spent 31 hours going for that gun."

18 RepliesI spent well over 50 to get mountaintop, I don’t care if they sunset it. They nerfed pinnacles multiple times and they still reign supreme, along with stopping their power creep, it preemptively destroys any power creep that might take place over the next year by giving the powercreep an expiration date. The change is fine, it has some actual issues that are worth addressing, but we can’t do that until everyone stops whining that it’s happening.

I spent god knows how many hours grinding for my bow and sword, I built my armour around them, still THEY ARE FAR FROM OP. I guess I’m just not allowed to play the fun way I want.

You spent 31 hours on a gun? Sad. Most quests take 3 hours max

This doesn’t make any sense. They’ve nerfed several pinnacle weapons.
