That moment when auto rifles have more usage than hand cannons ever have in the past year...
On console, autos have more use now than hand cannons have in the past year.
For those of you that said hand cannons were "OP" based on usage, auto rifles are even more so now. Your logic. Not mine.

I’ll take anything over a 20 month hand cannon meta. Anything. Glad they’re pushed to the back-burner, a bit. Autos should have their time. Here it is.

Your logic. Not mine.[/quote] All ARs are not Hardlight. Based on usage stats Hardlight is OP, but everyone already knows that. HCs still our number ARs in the top 10 primary usage stats. You have to look at the whole picture instead of just shrinking it down to wha you want to show.

I just played 3-4 matches in a row on console. Wasn’t killed by a HC once. All i see is HL in stacked teams. Saw one monte and one sweet business. No other autos. Zero

35 RepliesOn console, yeah. Hand cannons are generally more annoying to use on console cause of the recoil. However, hand cannons are still better if you can aim.

Well HC are still OP just they are not the only one now. Thats why i like it. Also I don't get killed mostly by autos it's still a mix between sniper,hc,shotguns and autos most of the times.

Hardlight is probably the one being most used though. Autos as a whole aren't really op, its just Suros (just revert the buff it got, it was already amazing) and hardlight being used because of how busted they are now. -

With a certain exotic being both lethal and annoying. And you don't need to farm a good roll on an exotic.

1 ReplyEdited by Eucadia: 4/10/2020 7:42:03 AMHas to due with the fact that %usage depends on weapon accessibility, and the best Auto Rifles (HL + Suros) are both Exotic = highly accessible = higher usage. On the other hand, the best Handcannons (Spare Rations + Dire Promise) require God-Rolls to warrant their use over other weapons = low accessibility = lower usage. Also note that the %contribution that HL and Suros have is way higher than any other Auto Rifle (600s included). NF as a 180 wasn't the most used because its Comp requirements to obtain it gave it a low accessibility, for example.

5 RepliesThe easiest to use weapons should never be the best weapons, that’s game balance 101. Autos as whole are too strong right now but that doesn’t mean nerf them outside of maybe hard light. Other primaries should be brought up to compete. Revert the hand cannon range nerf and hand cannons would have a place again. As the sand box sits on CONSOLE there is literally no reason to use anything other than an auto. A 600 rpm kills faster and with a medium range scope will out range a hand cannon.

I'm convinced that the only people who hate HC meta are console scrubs who can't aim. HC's as a concept are completely balanced because they reward skill and good aim, which is why all the good players use them.
