Started yesterday at Fabled II in comp.
60+ games later, I'm actually down to Fabled 1. Why? Luck. Nothing bu the luck of draw.
1 step forward, 3 steps back. Rinse and repeat. Great job, Bungie.
The Luna/Erentil/Jotunn meta is just so tiring.
All I have to show for it is about 350 pieces of sh*t-tier blue crap.
The latency is SO BAD that I've got blade barrages making 45 degree turns and chasing me down hallways, my blade barrages going right through people, center-mass shotgun blasts not registering, people teleporting all over the place (but somehow managing to get me), literally get shot while I'm standing behind walls.
It's a problem when you're trying to progress on a quest. Why am I being punished by losing glory for one of my teammates leaving a game? That's garbage.
This seems to be the Bungie way: punish people for things beyond their control.
It's beyond demoralizing. I'm thinking it's about time to move on.

3 RepliesThen why are you willingly in an abusive relationship? Uninstall the game and play a PvE game with more substance or a PvP game that is actually competitive

5 Replies- Thinks Jotunn is meta - Wonders why they are stuck in Fabled
-
Losing isn't beyond your control.

3 RepliesYou may as well stay, bungie have pizza.

3 RepliesI wonder what playlist you're actually playing if you think Jötunn is meta...

So I look at my play times... 🤔 1- I never played after 12 noon Saturday and all Sundays, all the Australians and Chinese hardcore players where waiting for me! 2-I had a great and good streaks in the mornings 3-Always try to maximize your amor tours what you like and works of course. 4-When it comes to quitters I’ll never stop. But even if you by your self (happened to me twice) embrace the a$$ wiping coming and have fun... 5-Take breaks plays other games

1. Don’t play 60 games in a day. You play poorly and make bad decisions when you’re tired. 2. Play the meta. Stop handicapping yourself against those who do. There is no prize for second place. 3. If you don’t have a Luna’s Howl, go with Crimson. Especially if it’s Masterworked. It will let you beat someone using LH if they make a mistake. Those pulse rifles won’t. You’ll get outgunned regardless.

It took a long time for elatha and me to reach a mutual understanding. For the longest time I thought she was an ugly thing with bad character. But I decided to look past that, find joy in the small things that matter and now we're happily climbing all obstacles together. I'll never let her down and she won't me either. In all seriousness. If something's beating you, the way to win more than to lose is to figure out why it's beating you. With that knowledge you can either figure a counter, or figure the parts that make them perform better than you. Then double down on that and learn to do it better than they are. That's how they'll start losing. If random teammates are your weakness, the lack of coordination and teamplay is the reason why. A counter to that is either to learn to read what your random team is doing and learning to play with them with more intent from your part, or to make a static 3-man team yourself and queue into the non-freelance regular playlist and practise actual communication and coordination. A lot less is beyond your control than folks tell themselves. They just do not know the things they should pay attention to and end up blaming irrelevant stuff that blocks potential improvement. Latency is not a universal roadblock to the degree you describe. I've played a lot of matches at 4000-5500 glory without teleporting folks or +1 second delays in registeration. If you're having problems to that degree, the issue is most likely either your network hardware and/or settings, or your physical location on the world map. Only the latter is a thing outside your control.

Ive learned that you gotta stay out of the 6v6 game modes. The lag, iffy hit reg, killed behind wall etc happens way more often in those. When ive played rumble and survival ive noticed that most of that happens way less often that it does in control or iron banner.
