Can't see any reason why this wouldn't be an improvement on the current system.

Absolutely

It's part of the strategy.. if you have a poor performing teammate, let him know that he should take less risks. Of course if you're playing solo, then it's just luck.

1 ReplyEdited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 12/23/2019 9:02:13 AMIt feels like it would only improve the experience for folks who play solo survival properly. The only side effect I can imagine is that a bad player will have less negative agency on his own games / winrate. Which in turn will let bad players be carried to higher glory across the board as a passive effect. This will dilute the skill ladder effect you normally expect from a competetive playlist. Though honestly the 'true-skill' matchmaking rework at shadowkeep destroyed the ELO aspect from glory already. Freelance survival is basically quickplay with glory coming closer unresetable valor. Not saying it is, but it's trending towards it. In 3-man stack enviroment which is proper competetive play, I'm not sure this fix would be needed since from how I understand it's aimed more towards the 'bad player ruining a solo good player's experience' -problem. Personally I think this is a non-issue when you look at the pure theory. Bad players will cost you games. Bad players on opponent's team will win you games. Balances out long-term and the bad players have difficulty climbing the perceived ladder, which prevents the skill bracket dilution.

This is possibly the best idea i have heard on these forums in regards to survival. Nothing worse than dying once. . . And . . . You have been knocked out lol!

I wouldnt mind seeing how this would play out. Everyone with two lives.

Indeed ...everyone 2 lives. Dont give the scrubs who feed the enemy 4 tries and me who actually kills stuff 1 chance.

Guess it determines one’s style of playing. Defensive players would appreciate it while the “ rush in and die” idiots would cry.
