This goes for any video game btw. You can’t really say a game has a lack of content when you play every single day for 10-12 hours. Don’t blame Bungie because they aren’t fueling your addiction 24/7.
Blame yourselves for being bored. Go outside. Take up a hobby. It is not bungies job to keep you entertained every. single. day.
I understand that there are content droughts and “lack of content,” but when you grind away at any game like that, you will get bored. Shocker! Take a break every so often before you start to live and breathe a bunch of 1’s and 0’s.

Well to be fair Bungie actually are to blame. Since they now have everything time gated and the bounties to obtain things in the game requires hours and hours of brainless grind. So if you want something done in the game you need to grind the shit out of it. They activites they provide in game at the moment is underwhelming and lackluster and you need to do it 99 times to many to get that gear, weapon or emblem you want. No wonder people get bored. It's by bad design and lack of ideas.

here I thought you were referring to the lack of any actual punishment to players abusing the shoddy p2p system.

Yet it shouldn't take me that long to build up a simple pvp set up with decent stats

1 Reply10-12hrs? I think you mean 12-15hrs. Literal game addicts play even longer than that, and I can also state that streamers who stream full time tend to play around 10-12hrs (less if they have a family). I tend to play around 10-13hrs or so and I do tend to take a day or two off playing game. HOWEVER, I will never, not in a million years, complain about the lack of content Destiny 2, nor will I complain about a DLC that has YET TO COME OUT. I have enjoy Destiny 2 and still continue to enjoy this game. I Don't want to be compare to those players who complain about the games "LaCk oF CoNtEnT" bs. There plenty of raids to do, plenty of dungeons to conquer, plenty of enemies to grind to dust, and plenty of Guardian to crush in the Crucible. If people have a problem with this game, here a spoiler for them....
leave, no one's going to care
1 ReplyThese are the same players that run through every activity and don't shoot anything & then they come on here & moan & whine that they have nothing to do in the game.
-
Problem is you can’t pace yourself to make this last a whole season because once you’ve seen each sundial boss that’s everything
-
Why even release an update? We can just go outside. Thank you for making me see the light.
-
What? You could play an hour a day and be done with this seasons content within that 1 day outside the vo weapon triumphs grind and ritual weapons which take abit longer cause of how much old stuff you need to grind

Looks like we've got ourselves a troublemaker. Get him, lads!

3 RepliesThe medals part of randy quest is killing me. I was enjoying it at first with the return of momentum when I got the kills done easy but the medals part is barely progressing 1% every game now. It feels the closer I actually get to completeting it, the harder it becomes.

Don't worry too much. There are only 2 types of games. The ones people are -blam!- about all the time and the ones they don't play. That looks like standard addiction effects.

4 RepliesAverage dude on this forum: "I have 6000 hours on D1 and D2 but i hate Destiny!"

You can't bring that kind of common sense to these forums. What were you thinking?

Valid point, take this bump

agree 100%.

3 RepliesWho do I blame for the lack of dedicated servers, resulting in Bungie customers getting DDoSed and having their IP addresses exposed to malicious players in Destiny 2?
-
Its not necessarily a lack of content, it’s a lack of enjoyable content. Like yes, you CAN grind out the titles, you can grind out the moon weapons, or higher light level past 960 , but why? The rewards are mediocre and the tasks arent hard, they are just mundane and something to do.

Edited by InconceivabIe-_-: 12/7/2019 5:07:34 PMWhat do you define as content versus everyone else? If you're asking me, d2 has a great amount of things to do but only a mediocre level of content. However I define content as campaign storyline followed by exploration and pvp. A new to do list every tuesday is not my idea of content.

1 ReplyI remember when posts like this didn't need to be made because it was common sense. One downside to the internet connecting us is that it lets us connect to people that share our worst traits too.

Took a 10 day break, got on yesterday and had a blast. Crazy good drop rates as well. It’s like they know how to feed the fix 😂

Dude are you serious? People like to get value out of their 10$ man! They want to milk it for like half a year or so.

Be it by literally releasing a small portion at a time, time gating, or grinding. People are likely addicted, as that's the entire point of the skinner box, but it's no reason to dismiss claims of a lack of content. Which Destiny has most definitely, and lacking content of substance at that. I forgot to mention shallow repetitive content being released regardless to help cover up the drip feed. Have fun with retreads of hoard mode for a few years.

Edited by Cinderchar: 12/7/2019 1:42:20 PMThere hasn’t been a lack of content. There has been a lack of QUALITY content though. I’m good with less if it’s better.
