This crap is free now to Forsaken owners? So why did i pay for it? To play some months early? Who cares. Its the same crappy experience if you play it today or before. Oh yea we were able to forge, play reckoning and menagerie before becuase we paid wow so lucky.
This is absolute BS. What a -blam!-ing scam. Not buying annual pass for y3 for sure. Why would i? It will go f2p anyways!

I want to make fun of you, but I'm gonna go the other way on this. Look at it from the perspective of people who are getting it for free: They now get to experience the content 2 weeks before it's [likely] rendered obsolete. It generates interest in the game and Shadowkeep, and as a result the player population will likely boom. Combine that with vanilla D2 + Y1 expansions going free-to-play, and there will hopefully be a whole new generation of Kinderguardians to teach (and harass in PvP). Besides, it was $35. That's not exactly a huge loss. For someone like you, with over 2000hrs in D2, you definitely got your money's worth.

10 RepliesPlaying something when its at its MOST relevant has market value...and you will pay for that value. Yes, someone who is only diving in now, won't have to pay for the pass. But they will likely struggle to find someone to run the content with them. Struggle to find people willing to run the raids. Struggle to run the forges around those who are simply using it for an AFK material farm. As well as missing all the seasonal events that went along with them. So I'd say that you jumping in early led to you having much more fun playing it than the late adopters likely will. If you don't feel that's worth the money you paid....then by all means. Keep your money in your pocket.

I don't agree but we should definitely get something for buying it early
-
Do you complain when you pay full price for a new game for it to only go down to next to nothing a year or so later or to have a complete edition for less? If so, you need to sort out your priorities
-
It provided a full YEAR of content to play.......
-
uh oh low iq alert!
-
I forgot that things don’t devalue. With the amount of shit haters spoke about it it probs shoulda gone free lmao

16 RepliesHere we go again. "I paid to see a movie in theaters, but now, a year later, its playing for free on Netflix and on movie tv channels? I want my money back!" No, you entitled hot dog. You paid to play the DLC far before others. You paid for the loot that has come from it that has augmented your gameplay. You spent hours on this content, and in no way deserve a refund. "But it wasn't even fun! I didn't like playing it at all, and now people get to play crappy content for free" You can't eat 95% of a meal and try to return it, saying you didn't like it. You have the first bite, MAYBE two, and then its yours. Swallow the "loss" and either pay for the next DLC or leave

11 RepliesRight, it’s almost like products lose value overtime. It’s why I never bought another Nintendo console after the first n64, you can get those things for nothing now! Cheap ol Nintendo. I want my money back for my Xbox 360, day nabbit Microsoft. Like for real though buddy. You payed to play the content when it was relevant.

This just doesn't fly. It's like complaining it's unfair for people who buy a game on sale at $20 a year after it's release to get the same content as you who paid $60. Or like complaining you paid for a game when it went on PS+ for free a couple of months after it's release. This is the way economics work. Stuff goes on sale, stuff is given away, prices change. What you buy in the moment doesn't mean jack squat for either the past or future sale of that product, especially a year out. Don't buy the season pass. That's fine. For me, I'll be paying them for it to play the raid while you sit on the sidelines. If you finally jump in a year from now for free, I will have already gotten everything I wanted and don't have to spend anymore time in it. Time is money. Relevancy has value.
-
Do you complain about people buying games after they get their price cut later in their life time? Or people who buy stuff on sale?
-
I agree. Bungie has a “con” department.
-
This is a ridiculous argument.
-
1 ReplyWell congrats. You wasn't scammed. Also just a heads up. If you wait a year thinking you can then play the seasonal activities for free later. You won't be able to. The seasonal activities will only be available during that season.

7 RepliesYou have over 2000 hours played man. You got more than your money worth. Quit being so entitled. The things that are going free are two year old content. Go away.
-
Not buying annual pass for y3 for sure. Why would i? It will go f2p anyways!
we look forward to your next post complaining about not getting stuff at the same time (free track) that everyone that paid for it did (premium track) .

1 ReplyOmg you guys... an old game and it's content became free! Who'da thought!
-
5 RepliesGood please don't buy it... you will not be missed!
-
Why? The annual pass gives you the raid armor that was stolen for the eververse for free. No need to do the raid
-
1 ReplyYou didn't see this coming when they mentioned "new light"? Don't but shadowkeep... It will be free by next summer.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Bieltan: 9/17/2019 7:22:17 PMTell you what, dont buy the next annual pass, be bored out of your mind once you've done your thing in Shadowkeep, get the AP when it goes free a year later and have fun trying to clear dead content whilst everyone else is playing whatever is relevant.
See why its free?
-
7 RepliesIt is always the case with software. Older versions are sold off cheaply.

I don't feel scammed but I don't think I will pay for another D2 annual pass. After two years of Destiny, I've experienced all Destiny has to offer. Don't get me wrong I've enjoyed the game very much, but ive reached a point where new contents don't feel new anymore. I'm not one to chase every weapon available, so most of the quest lines don't appeal to me. And things like the thorn quest isn't really new content! I mean the gun is new but to me that's not content. I will still play year 3 I'm sure, but just the freebie stuff :)

3 RepliesI hope you take this topic as a lesson that while you may passionately care about your issue, Others do not. Not gonna talk down to you or anything about lack of understanding of depreciation or anything like that. That’s obvious.
