Yea no not 16 hours, maybe 10. I haven’t known any new born to go that long.

Nurse here. They SHOULD sleep 14-18 a day and my six year old sleeps a solid 8-11 a night. I play every day for a couple hours at least and she’s brilliant and well adjusted so yes it’s possible

My two year old sleeps ten. Newborns can absolutely sleep for 16 hours. Not consecutively, but in a 24 hour period they’re gonna sleep about 15-16 hours.
