19 RepliesWorked for me now! A thought I had is that it might be a time limit... As some people said that their authentication have been removed if they waited too long. I aswell went through pretty slow when finally getting through Steam authentication, just to be slapped in the face with the red box error code. But now I did faster, but controlled (just to be safe) and it went like a charm! Might just have been coincidence aswell, but thought I might share it at least! Good luck to all you guardians and see you in game!

Activating cross save requires 200 sniper kills in Crucible.
-
I never had a steam account = once i created that - worked first time on google chrome (usual browser) *shrugs*
-
1 ReplyI got mine working but I cant connect to the servers, it says the servers are down
-
2 RepliesAny PS4 users I was tryin to do cross save on my phone because I wanted my Xbox account on my PS4 and it wouldn’t work through phone and I had a common error amongst the community. So I then tried the PlayStation browser and it worked like a charm. Hope this helps some folks :)
-
I got it to work by just opening multiple tabs and logging in on every linked account I had before proceeding with cross save.
-
This worked for me: Link at least two acc's for cross save after that it worked for the activation. (Linked PSN and Xbox)
-
3 RepliesI just waited a while before trying it again at work and it worked for me. If it helps, I moved my Xbox acct to PC.
-
1 ReplyI refreshed my cache with Crtl+F5 at the beginning of the Cross Save screen and that fixed it for me.
-
I got it to work by combining a few of the suggestions posted here, thank you! Chrome browser -> incognito -> go through authentication quickly (xbox, bnet, then steam) -> pray Worked for me on first attempt after many failed on phone and non-incognito. Good luck guardians!

I have been at this for more than 3 hours now im just wasting my time at this point ill come back in a few days when they fix the mess they made bungie doesnt take the time to make sure their update is actually working before releasing it and it ends up going to shit like it did just now ive tried almost every single work around that people have said works for them and absolutely none of them worked and im continuing to get this error every time. first they delayed it then released it when it wasnt working at all got like an hour and a half just sitting there trying to authenticate my steam account and now ive spent 2 hours literally just trying to click one button to complete this process which bungie advertised as easy to do but it ended up being so unbelievably far from easy that statement seems like a joke at this point

2 RepliesI just used incognito and it worked
-
I had the same issue trying to set Xbox as my main account. I tried cross saving from my Xbox and Steam accounts in Chrome, incognito Chrome, and Edge. It finally worked when I was logged into my Steam account in Edge incognito. Keep trying different browser and account combinations, and hopefully it will work for you.

1 ReplyCan confirm, I had this exact same error in a regular window. I used an incognito window and it fixed both the issue with it un-authenticating accounts and the final confirmation at the end issue that throws up the error OP posted. Also, since I used an incognito window, that means my browsers build in adblocker wasn't being used or the extension I use for adblocking. I'm convinced that is what is causing the issue for people.

The dev console in Chrome says: One or more of your accounts is not authenticated...

I've managed to get it to work after spending a while trying the usual ie; different browsers, using a pc, tablet, mobile etc... in the end I went on the standard samsung internet browser on my phone & enabled desktop mode, worked like a charm instantly. Hope it helps some people out & apologies to people who have already tried it. Fingers crossed you all get it to work soon!
-
Main account is on Ps4, I tried to cross save with just Ps4, Steam and battlenet and it wouldn't work, I then added my xbox acc and it completed the process.
