Big gaming companies make most of their income by selling skins/cosmetics nowadays. Last two years, I’ve gotten over 80% or more of all eververse cosmetics simply by playing the game. Bungie, in comparisson to other companies, could be way ‘greedier’. I wouldn’t blame them. More income could lead to more employment of talented developers. It’s a business, not charity.

Ok ffs, I hate seeing post like this, 1-You could have waited to do the discount, but you didn't. Bungie didn't waist your bd, you did! 2-The event is FREE, it adds new content, new armor which may I remind will also be an armor 2.0 set come shadowkeep. But your going to complain you need to actually do something significant to earn the new COSMETICS as opposed to getting a level up every 2 minutes? Un-effing believable.

While I do think that it's completely "on us" the players, whether we use dust on the tributes or not, I find it a bit shady that a material that is/was only directly linked to the in-game store was used at all outside of the store itself.

[spoiler][Removed the Matrix Increased the RNG of not getting a chance of collecting certain items from Tess that you will end up with 3 times the amount of duplicates Reduced the drop rate for exotics that drop from Tess Reducing resources on how much you can acquire when dismantling items Reduced the drop rate for shaders when it comes to dismantling for shards and bright dust Created the Tribute Hall like Spider at a high cost, and when you do use the resources it only leaves you 2 options, using your Shards or bright dust. No engrams for this event coming up[/spoiler] This was a small list of what has actually taken place among other things for a full-priced game, and Tess is the only vendors in 2 years Bungie can take care of??? This is a cheap move on Bungie's part and shows how selfish this company actually is. Reading over a lot of the replies on this post that has nothing to do with... "You don't have to buy" "It's your fault you wasted your resources" "Who forced you to use your Bright dust" 'You kids come up with the dumbest things on this forum" "Cool story bro..." ... and other unnecessary replies that have shown it had nothing to do with what is actually taken place? it shows how many people on this forum just accept things and act like there is no issue and Bungie plays off of that. You guys make it way too easy for them that it's gotten worse with this game this last year. Hell, instead of Bungie actually showing respect and offer something without a price tag to it is too much to ask right? I mean, they are so broke that they need to "have" to pay attention to only Tess for 2 years right? That is what most of you are actually saying. How the hell do other companies offer so much more on an event that is supposed to be a thank you from Bungie for forking out more money than a lot of games? tribute hall is a waste of time. Bad juju? ok. catalyst? [i]Hell No.[/i] Outbreak perfekted does a better job. On top of that Bjuju doesn’t give that much super back.

I’m not gonna bother much with solstice. Grinded every armor set last year and all the items. Probably just gonna do the armor and stop playing destiny again. Tribute hall was boring af and solstice is probably going to be as well.
