The proper way? Lol you losers love wasting your life away on a digital game. If grinding for hours on end to get one potential good weapon is how you enjoy life, it does not mean everyone else wants to spend those hours hoping for a good weapon. With the lack of loot in this game and lack of rewards players finally had a chance to play the game and grind for whatever roll they wanted, after the patch almost no one will run this mode. Remember the forges? Remember escalation protocol? Remember the reckoning? Me neither! Its a freaking pve activity, if players want to play this mode and get as much loot in a small amount of time who are you to decide whats proper and whats not? It doesn’t affect you, it has nothing to do with you. You don’t HAVE to cheese for rolls if you don’t want to, literally no one forcing you to cheat the system.
I don’t see why you pve try hards have an issue with how players enjoy the game, If I was a developer I would embrace what players have done instead of straight up nerfing stuff especially if it doesn’t even break the game. Menagerie right now does not in any way break the game or even the balance of the game, players are playing this mode to earn loot, how they earn it is up to them. Its a freaking loot shooter game for gods sake, this wouldn’t be a problem is bungie decided to be less stingy with its loot in the first place.

If you were a developer, your game would be dead in a matter of weeks because you killed any longevity by allowing a bug like this to go unchecked.

This bug literally does not break the game, if anything players would want to keep playing it hence the reason everyone is saying how awesome this season is.

The season was “awesome” long before the bug was so widespread. And why would player continue to play the activity after obtaining their rolls as PLAYING THE ACTIVITY JUST BECAUSE IS LITERALLY WHAT YALL ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING. Smh.

There is nothing with exploiting a mechanic that shouldn't be there in the first place hmm okay. Menagerie is nothing like ep, reckoning, or blind well yet you think it will fail because you can use this one exploit. Blind well, reckoning had incentive issue while ep is just outdated and yet it will fail and be forgotten okay. I don't get to decide whats proper or not bungie does and seems like it's not proper. I wouldn't want you as a dev you would dry up content and ruin loot and activity insensitive. To me your argument sounds pretty solid 👌 keep up the good work .

Dry content? If I was a developer I wouldn’t just make a few armors and weapons to begin with. There is a reason borderlands will always top destiny when it gets to pv, But hey you guys love taking months to get one decent roll right? You guys love putting in hours upon hours of doing the same thing over and over again. It seems like you actually have a problem if you think its ok to play one activity just to get lucky and get just one decent roll. Idk about you but we only have one life, I rather spend my life doing something I enjoy then get frustrated at bungies shitty RNG. If many players enjoy doing this exploit that literally doesn’t break the game, I don’t see why you have such a big issue with that. If you want to take months to get stuff then more power to you but not everyone wants to.

I'll tell you this commenting back and forth doesn't show what you want to with your life. Shadow keep coming too bro and more builds and things will be added what will you say when you can't optimize a perfect build. Make it so every can have an discipline, intellect, strength roll. This game going forward into a MMO and if ain't familiar with the house then it's best to get out

Not do what the players want? As a business standpoint, players will play whatever they enjoy most. If you do whatever the hell you want like “anthem” you seriously think the game would last? The only reason destiny has not died yet is because bungie is slowly giving players what they want. I seriously wonder what goes on in your heads, you guys rather waste so much time of your life being addicted to a BS RNG instead of playing a game with more content.

Well instead of relying on small amount of loot, I would create millions of weapons and armors like borderlands. The game wouldn’t struggle with loot at that point right? Look my issue is not that the bug is going away, my issue is that destiny does not reward enough as it is. No one unless you are bored is going to want to run menagerie for literally only one random rolled weapon for every 15-20 minutes of their life. Someone suggested bungie give players 3 chest after the event ends and 5 chest for the heroic. I think thats a much better option than straight up nerfing the whole activity
