So I just finished a match that was matched 3 vs 4, and no other player was brought in to even the match out. So our team lost (obviously). What I want to know is, what dumbass thinks that running matches that count against you when you lose, when the teams aren't complete is a good idea. I'm totally turned off to the competition matches now, beyond the downside of just being teamed with people who aren't very good (which is expected), now I have to worry about the computer starting a match before the teams are complete. The least it could have done is boot one guy off the opposite team, instead of just handing them the win. I'm still pissed over this, I just started playing competition matches, now I'm wondering why I should bother.

1 ReplyAll they have to do is add a feature where a player added late doesn't suffer a penalty if the team loses since he wasn't there for the entire match. Seems like a simple way to make everyone happy.

you are not a player in this game you are the filler and the entertainment section of the pvp hunger games =) .. seen a level 4 in a match against geekermon.. that guy is severly out of the league of that level 4 dude.. and i should have to grind for a season to see my first lunas howl against me but even with zero comp points i am matched against a semi god slayer team with NF/MT/LH/RC guns.. yaaaaah.. not
Why are lopsided competition matches allowed?
You've correctly identified a terrible pvp flaw (among others) that Bungie refuses to address. D2 Y2 pvp errors in comp and QP matchmaking have driven many, many players from the game. But Bungie just sits by and watches it happen. Crazy...

11 RepliesWhy are people allowed to play Solo in a competitive playlist?
-
Because bungie doesn't care much about crucible players.
-
Its not the "computer" its weinie boys leaving before the match begins. Bungie doesn't bring players in to matches in progress because that would be extremely unfair for a player to lose glory after joining a match that was 5-1 in Countdown.
-
Because people leave matches as they start. All. The. Time.
-
10 RepliesThank your teammate who backed out at the last possible second because they were trying to dodge a fireteam.
-
Let's see.....ah here's your problem you're going in by yourself. If you expect randos to not leave before the match starts because the queue jumped up by 4 then you have to high expectations for random people. This you can control, find a team on lfg. It sucks, but not as bad as going in 3v4. Also the game doesn't start unless 8 people are in, it just so happens little jimmy over there backed out at the last second as soon as the match began to start.
-
Because the matches are computer generated. And while computers are faster than we are, we are still smarter.
-
It doesn't match incomplete teams against a full team. What's happening is someone is leaving or getting booted offline right after the teams are matched. As far as why this counts against you, it's likely because people could purposely have a player leave before a game ended so that they wouldn't lose points.

3 RepliesYee I had a random on the enemy "team" yesterday get matched with my stacked team alone, its bad

Edited by iDEVAST4T0R: 5/28/2019 7:28:34 AMOh just wait till your loaded in 3v4 (my team has 3) and one quits on their team only to have that person replaced by a clan member of two of the three remaining on their team. This has happened twice, in one night.
-
6 RepliesBecause they removed SBMM.
-
Not enough people playing comp.
-
Edited by Hells Assailent: 5/28/2019 3:58:16 AMYou see your team got filled, then someone disconnected before it launched. Whether they turned off the platform, lost power, quit the game, or had an internet issue they weren't in so 3v4 it went.
-
Yes in comp no one gets pulled in dude saw a 4 stack and left.
-
6 RepliesSo you want a fresh player to come into a losing game Stops cying about being a solo in a team playlist
-
To drag out your playtime. They cant just give people the pinnacle weapons now can they?
-
More likely incompetence on bungo's part. If your employees are shit then the content will be also

1 ReplyYoure at 60 glory. bruh. Expect a huge variance in player skill in the early glory scene. Plenty of players like you trying competitive for the first time and then realizing they dont like it. The players below 2200 glory are average players. Very easy to move up in the ranks.
-
Because relative low player numbers mean poorer matchmaking. It's either unbalanced by skill or connection
-
2 RepliesWhether you win or not is entirely up to RNG. The days of being rewarded for being a skillful player are gone. It's all RNG now.

Thank you for your feedback, we are listening and do not give a -blam!-. -Bungo, maybe. No but seriously, this has been an ongoing complaint since comp was introduced, as well as the DDOSing since trials. Both ongoing, unabated issues. Yeet.
