Recently transferred to PS4 and looking for a couple of genuine, patient guardian friends
Hey everyone.
Editing this following some less than friendly personal messages, and friend requests which turned out not to respect my wishes and how I play Destiny.
I am a British guy closing in on 50 years of age who transferred to PS4 to restart my Destiny 2 journey a few weeks ago. I am not a raider - strange though it may sound, raids completely contradict how I like to play this game, and take me too far out of my comfort zone. If you are calm, patient, understanding, and play Destiny for enjoyment and relaxation, it would be lovely to hear from you. I am not looking to surround myself with numerous people. Just one or two new friends whom i can also share some of the activities and some nice conversation along the way. UK might be more preferable as the timezone differences outside of the UK is likely to make it very difficult to share game time. As I am virtually housebound due to my health, I can be in game any time of the day but rarely beyond 11pm UK time. I get tired very easily.
I would also appreciate sharing some messages before accepting any friend invites - this would allow a better chance of getting to know one another, and to understand if our gaming styles will match or not.
I suffer from damaged hearing so even though I can use a headset and mic, I cannot cover my ears or have the volume too high if I wish to retain what little hearing I have. This means I have to concentrate more, and any more than two voices in chat with me would be too overpowering.
I have played Destiny since the beginning, at a level of enjoyment which some might class as casual. I have primarily been a solo player, and i still like taking time to myself but i am at a period of my life where friendship is also important to me, even more so due to a health issue i am curently battling which has made me realise how virtually alone i am.

I should add that I have managed to reach 700, so am long past all of the campaigns which come with this game. I only run a warlock as this is the character I wish to devote my time to - my days of running three guys are long behind me. I do have a hunter created but this was only to use the level 30 boost. Sure, anytime you need a hand just look me up. I am always looking for help in the game myself. I'm 42 and still game, I love this game even though it frustrates me at times. While I am at it...Hey Bungie...listen to your fan base...we know what we want. It is literally written in black and white here....

Sounds a lot like me, except for the Brit part. I have Brit friends which I much prefer to my uptight American friends. I would offer, but sadly this game is in such a decline that I will be moving on soon. Good luck to you, mate.

Keep your head up. I know somewhat about what you're going through. I'm 43 and going blind. I usually don't do raids because they are too dark. I've been playing since D1 as well as this game provides a welcome escape from real world struggles. Feel free to send me a friend request. I'm usually on daily starting at 11pm PST.

Thank you for all the responses thus far, and the clan invites. Respectfully i am not really looking for a clan. As much as this would evidently provide the numbers for all types of activities which interest me, and potential friends which was the reason for my post, I really am reaching out I guess to those solo players out there who from time to time would like to share a chat amidst some gameplay, maybe try an activity they haven't been able to before due to having no one to run with and not wanting to use matchmaking. I am a believer in small groups of friends who one can take the time to get to know each other and really bond with over time if there is a shared connection. Destiny does have a way of bringing people together, and I think I am simply looking to reach out to one or two people with a similar outlook as mine.
