Games have taught us to look forward to opening chests. The mystery, the payoff, it's a hallowed tradition of game loot. But this? Bungie is slowly training us to be underwhelmed by chests in the game world. Two planetary resources? Maybe some cheap shaders? Either make chests feel more rewarding or remove the chests and have some other vessel that is appropriate for such a mundane reward.
