1 ReplyD3 needs to be canceled & used as a update for destiny 2 instead of sweeping things under the carpet like usual
-
23 RepliesYou know what I think would really "wow" a lot of us dedicated players? Is if they just stopped making Destiny and finally gave this garbage series a rest. It's not fun anymore. It's not interesting. They need to cut their losses and give up already.
-
1 ReplyIf it is cross platform between current and next gen, kiss 60 fps goodbye. I can't see them splitting player bases between consoles, it would totally weaken the player pool. I have a really strong feeling wea aren't getting D3 for 2 More years. Let the new systems come out for about year and 1/2, then release on next gen.
-
1 ReplyDoes anyone know if d3 will be on pc because that’s were I’m moving too and I’m not going to blow a crap load of money on a new gaming system just so I can play destiny.
-
1 ReplyOnly if it provides a smooth 60 fps on console with a possible adjustable fov. If not I don’t mind getting it on pc.
-
1 ReplyIt needs to be Sony exclusive for sure. We all know Bungie alone is not capable of doing a PC version without Activision. So PC version for D3 is at stake atm. Just skip the xbox version too and fully focus on ps5 version to cater your biggest playerbase.
-
I don't care how long D3 takes. I just want it to be good.
-
7 RepliesToo much revenue to lose from cross gen. Doubtful
-
10 RepliesI'm not buying a console for one -blam!-ing game.
-
3 RepliesMy guess is it’s definitely going to be crossgen. With the Xbox 1 and PS4 instal base being in full maturity, why would they leave that money on the table? That being said, I’m sure the next gen versions will come with added bells and whistles (4K 60) better post processing effects etc.
-
More importantly it needs to be very different than d2, how's this going to happen though
-
1 ReplyPs5 and bungie will lock d3 at 30fps and 720p lol
-
It won't be. I was thinking about posting about this last night but decided it was too premature. Taking into account behavior of Bungie, things I can tell you is that one, it will almost certainly be cross gen. 2. Cross gen play will be disabled, presumably for "pvp" balance. 3. Destiny 2 will also be gen locked. What I expect them to do given that playstation 5 will be fully supporting ps4 backwards compatibility, is that when you play on ps5, you're going to be playing with other ps5 players, and if you play on ps4, you'll play with other ps4 players. You'll have the same progression and inventory just your ability to play with friends will depend on what product you're playing on. Oh and they'll also keep the framerate artificially capped at 30 on the ps5 for destiny 2 even if destiny 3 runs at 60fps at 4k.

D3 needs to either not happen or add all content from both destiny games added to it. There really wasn’t any reason to not just update destiny 1 and put it into D2 other than the inventory reworks.
-
Aint happening. Low install base Game has to be built... Again... Etc etc Big no

Edited by acerspades1: 4/22/2019 6:43:27 AMI'm putting the £1 A day that I would normally spend on -blam!- to one side so when the PS5 drops I will have enough money saved. What sort of -blam!- can you buy for £1 I hear you ask???? French ones 👌
-
will buy both Next Gens when they launch and see on which platform it plays better. my vote - PS5, - if only they would stop being stubborn assholes and let our accounts be cross platform.
-
Who cares what console it’s on, I’m just hoping its not shit at launch again
-
1 ReplyI think the next gen will come out Q4 2020 , that’s enough time still for Bungie to reboot everything with 15 months left before launch. Cuz it’s tradition.
-
Interesting. I'd say until then, Bungie should drop there 1st major D2 expansion. Let's test drive their newly found independence. Then, I believe that would dictate their next gen title.
-
It's likely to have the same if not more issue. Especially with them have to use those new stuff. No doubt, d3 will release unfinished.
-
The game will still have the same problems without dedicated servers. The platform won't matter.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 4/22/2019 11:30:58 PMIt needs to be solely Next Gen, bang up-to-date on the physics engine & sporting separate stats for PvE & PvP And dedicated servers ...badly needed! Edit ...ok maybe not solely next gen - but this current gen can easily run a brand new (to Bungie) engine, capable of 60fps, separate PvE & PvP, and with dedicated servers running hit registration (readying for the next jump to fully PS5/XB2)

Yeah, and we all know how that went last time (Rise of Iron onward) it didn't change much, if anything, so how bout no.

2 RepliesThey wowed us when Destiny came out in 2014, I think there is a standard with how ''good'' a game should look but honestly after a few runs through an area I don't stop to look at the landscape anymore, I just go to the next place I have to be and move on. If Bungie wants to make this game look the best it can then they might as well drop console support for D3 make it PC exclusive. What ever hardware the PS5 and Xbox 4 has it's going to be outdated on launch just by the nature of how consoles are made. If we are talking actual things to do in game well Bungie haven't exactly been proactive in adding varied things to the game over the years it's just been different ways / things to shoot and yeah I get it's an FPS but it just seems really short sighted if that's all we are going to do for three games straight. All this ''new tech'' and we haven't moved forward that much from Quake, seems pointless to expect anything other than what we already have.
