As a PvE centric player I feel bad for y'all. You really do need a high level activity. As it stands the only event you have too look forward to is Iron banner. Trials or some sort of similar event should return.
Kinda random but yeah. Even as a PvE player I can recognize the need for such an event.
Edit/addition: I see blame being thrown around in the comments along the lines of "they made their bed now they can sleep in it. Not what this was about. You're entitled to your opinion I was just trying recognize there really should be some other pvp event other than IB.

Theres nothing for PVE players to do now either. The game is legit dead.

1 ReplyNah, they can be invaders in the whole failed gambit joke mode.
-
Dont feel bad for me, im investing all those hours into myself now :) Picking up chicks is much more fun than playing some half baked pvp with a bunch of entitled 16 year olds.
-
I mean, I have over 500h in pvp and ive just had enough at this point. Bungie only want to please the casuals so there is no point in hoping it will get fixed. Just switching to Apex
-
Ye ain't wrong. I myself am a big PvE guy and see Crucible as kind of lackluster and somewhat boring, worse when theres a grind among grinds to do.
-
Yeah but why. Any event is going to be exactly what it is. A sweaty hand cannon shotgun meta. And the same 2op supers repeatedly. Rebalancing weapon play. Rebalancing supers. Rebalancing the m/m system. Then think about how a new event would work.

1 ReplyThey gave one, it’s called gambit prime

7 RepliesIm a pvper and all we need is pvp crucible guns like matador 64, pc+1 and eyeasluna and make the god rolls hard to get like you would have to play like 7 hours straight for a shot package/ full auto matador 😂 In destiny 1 we had crucible vendor guns and crucible guns from end game games i miss that and thats the reason why I would play match after match to get a btrd lmg.

1 ReplyPlaying comp and going for pinnacle weapons is pretty endgame but ik what you mean
-
1 ReplyThing is the PvP community refuses to acknowledge they did it to themselves. Years of moaning about how trials worked and now it’s been removed until they can think of a better way to implement it they suddenly want it back and it was great exactly how it was.

13 RepliesDon't feel bad for them. The current state of the game is their OWN FAULT. The constant whining about gear and space magic, in a loot based space magic game, did them no favors. No matter how many times Bungie caved and nerfed gear/abilities into ruin, it never mattered. These clowns were never satisfied. They get what they deserve.

3 RepliesEdited by ScottF 2112: 4/9/2019 4:02:04 PMDon't feel bad. Iron Banner is like a vacation from normal PVP, not like an end game activity. IB tends to draw a lot of people who aren't so into PVP, so it is way easier than normal QP (at least for me). Comp is available 24/7 and you can play solo. That is better than Trials in some ways. Pinnacle weapon chasing is end game enough for PVP. QP lobbies have usually 1/3 to 1/2 of the people with pinnacle weapons (for me anyway), so even QP solo can be tough enough with the population as low as it is. Rumble is still Rumble. There is plenty of PVP to be done, especially since the loop is always just "play a match" followed by "now do it again"
-
It is what it is. The fire that forged trihards is a slow burn to that pvp aspect
-
2 RepliesSaid it for a while now. Iron Banner needs to drop off Enhanced Armor. Give it an endgame feel. Not just slightly different looking armor with regular perks. Especially since IB has SBMM. You want me to sweat every single match you better give me a reason to do so.
-
Don't, we have comp.
-
That's because Bungie, in their EXTREMELY dubious wisdom, set Trials of the Whatever rules in the entire Crucible. That's why they can't bring back Trials: it's already everywhere.
-
There is nothing really to accomplish in PvE either, that isn't the byproduct of a broken rewards system. I can't even make it through the opening credit without being lured by a friend. Bungie thinks because their writing got more complex, they can stretchout 4 hours worth of content over 2 months. While PvP is totally in it's final stages of it's lifecycle, so is the entire game at this point. PvE is easier to dress up.. making us do 1 old strike a week and kill certain enemy types for a lore tab. Crucible is just more obvious.
-
Even worse on pc sometimes you wait as much as 30 minutes to find a comp game one of my buddies watched an entire 2 hour movie while we were waiting between matches it was like a 6-7 hour play session if that tells you anything
-
2 RepliesIt would never happen but I'd love to see Big Team Battles like they did in Halo. Or just have Combined Arms make a comeback.
-
Appreciate you posting this. Wish they would do big team battles but they couldn’t handle the servers. Combined arms would be fun...even trials coming back but I guess comp for weapons is the endgame :))
-
Somebody gets it.
-
Hopefully by the end of the year, we will have some type of trials -like event again.

Like go fire up a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 right now today. I guarantee you'll find at least a hundred servers to go play on. The game is 15 years old there's never been a single event for PVP Also these reverse psychology threads are transparent af.

I help people play comp, and thats around all the time. Gambit is fun too. Id love some new/old PVP maps.

Appreciated
