When I was told Arc supers were getting buffed my mind immediately jumped to Thundercrash damage. I was sorely disappointed.
Why are Titan's abysmal. No one really complained about Titans aside from OEM and Shoulder Spam (PvP issues only.)
The only real use for Thundercrash is a tightly packed group of trash and invader killing. Aside from that it sucks.
If not damage at least provide a way to get the super back faster. The ballistic slam (melee ability) only gives a noticable amount when hitting 3 or more enemies and even then it needs at least another meter range. You need to kill 6 in one slam to even come close to Doomfang returns (for a roaming super) on a single kill.
Synthoceps give bonus melee damage, but I'm not sure if its applying the buff to Thundercrash.

42 RepliesEdited by Spooky_Ari: 4/5/2019 7:19:58 PMThey said specifically that Arc week was more for Pre-Forsaken subclasses. Nova Warp was shoved in there too because it was immediately apparent that it was nerfed too hard. Adjustments to Thundercrash, Ward of Dawn and Spectral Blades are being looked at for future updates.

I’m still waiting till I can see during chaos reach.

Remember the fist of havoc slam damage nerf? Remember the bottom tree fist of havoc nerf? Remember the removal of after shocks on the first slam? Remember the buff to Vehicle damage??? In conclusion Fist of havoc is op because shoulder change can one shot
-
2 RepliesFoH needs love too (middle tree). It's one of the weakest melee supers. I routinely die after one hit from another melee super, yet my smashed don't do shit.
-
Are you a hunter? feels like something a hunter would post...no?...well that was awkward! “Time to hit the ol dusty trail”.
-
1 ReplyMiddle Tree Striker with Skullfort is the fastest super generation in the game, bar none. One wave in Gambit can easily give you your entire super. If they did anything to supplement this tree, it would just be broken.
-
For having "meteoric damage" it feels pretty damn weak.
-
The op is not a smart person nor are the people who complains why mid tree is not buffed. Go read the article which clearly you didn’t read it properly. Then go learn what “pre”forsaken means.
-
1 ReplyThundercrash fixes. . . More damage. Way bigger AoE.
-
2 RepliesWhat you should ask is; Why did hunter and warlock get buffs in 2 trees and titan only got buff in 1 tree!
-
16 RepliesNo one forgot anything. They specifically stated in the TWAB that the update focuses on the pre-Forsaken subclasses. No changes have been made to any middle tree arc subclasses. It amazes me that you managed to read the TWAB, get this annoyed, and write your post ALL without realising these very obvious things.
-
21 RepliesThey haven’t forgot about it. They said in a tweet that they’re looking at Thundercrash and Ward of Dawn for future updates
-
1 ReplyThe real question is. Why was it only arc subclasses that got changes?
-
If you think Titans are "abysmal", you've apparently never used bottom tree with Synthoceps.
-
6 RepliesSo how about way of the whirlwind for arcstrider Attunement of control for the warlock? If you'd notice these are all the original skill trees. Some of which haven't even been touch at all. So take what you can get, the titans tactical nuke is fine, its a shutdown super, not a roamer
-
They only said they were buffing pre forsaken supers. Thunder crash is great only reason I end up using striker really.
-
2 RepliesI use skullfort with thundercrash in gambit along with all super mods ( my skullfort has melee ability kills generate super ) I just go round spamming death from above kills and get super really quick, almost never use a gun till primeval
-
Typical aimless nerf/buff from Bungle. Do some, not all. Pretty much f everything up.
-
You could try melting point
-
Titans are definitely not abysmal... And the very very opposite of that in pvp
-
Edited by Aiitin: 4/6/2019 2:36:52 PMShould buff its pve damage, blade barrage and nova bomb are out here nuking bosses (at range too making it safer) while thundercrash does -blam!- all ontop of forcing you to get in enemy melee range
-
I mean you’re right about titans but it seemed like they are focused on buffing the old supers- the original ones.
-
Understand your argument but middle tree striker is not the only 1 that did not receive or needs a buff. All middle tree arc class have not received a buff. They probably didn't touch them cause they have good neutral game already and mostly focus on neutral, cause chaos reach needs a FOV improvement along with damage resistance and Arcstrider mostly need a slight increase to super duration

1 ReplyEdited by NegativeCycle: 4/6/2019 12:53:58 AMWhile I somewhat would like to see a buff to the damage Thundercrash itself does I can see why they aren't buffing it or at least not in a hurry to buff it. The Code of the Missile already is one of, if not the single most destructive subclasses in the entirety of Destiny if used with the Insurmountable Skullfort. You don't really "need" the super when you can endlessly ballistic slam everything to death and continually refill your super anyway. It also having Inertia Override for free damage buff while reloading weapons already puts it in a class by itself. EDIT: And yes Syntoceps do in fact apply a damage buff to the super but lets be real here, if you're not using Insurmountable Skullfort with this subclass you're doing it wrong anyway. The only time Synthoceps are useful with this subclass is for the fringe Syntho-Slam possibility in PvP of killing everyone trying to cap a zone or get heavy ammo.

2 RepliesI’d like to see Thundercrash’s slam go back to a shoulder charge.

Thundercrash is fine i use that bad boy as if its an abillity because of how quick that thing charges with skullfort. Only change id like is a meatier thunder sound effect when i use it lol i want that thing to boom.
