Why is the UI on console so slow?

Its just bad design... some be talking about too many items in the inventory... yeah no other game ever had that challenge... like wow 50000000 items and bags open at once they are just bad like their connection

Seriously, why?[/quote] Probably many reasons but chiefly among them that you're loading from a slow 5400RPM hard drive in the console. Upgrade to 7200RPM would be an improvement, SSD much greater still. Can bungie optimize the menu further for default hardware? Absolutely. But will they? Doubtful, they're way too busy rebooting Destiny 3 development every 12 months.

It’s literally like I’m playing destiny on the 360 again. Like I remember finally getting destiny for the Xbox One andi could actually open my menu quickly. Now it’s just as bad as on the 360

1 ReplyOld hardware, shitty hdd. I upgraded to an external ssd few days ago, the difference is very noticeable. Takes about 90 seconds to get from “press x” at title screen to orbit with a character. Inventory is snappy to come up, and I’m always the first one to load onto strikes. At the start I thought I was solo in the strike, but the other two just hadn’t loaded in yet

Not sure if anyone will believe me, but this is the result of having a large number of items in your inventory. This includes the stuff in your vault even though it isn’t accessible from the menu. It’s also why our vaults are so small when the game is released and is slowly increased over time. This can also cause issues when loading into the tower and farm.

It's the extremely slow processor.

Yes D2 is more beautiful than D1 but the difference in loading times is drastic 1 character on D2 can 3 in D1 and it still loads faster Same can be said with getting bounties quicker in D1 and NPC's have this slow animation for better or worse. D1 has better navigation in the menu no separate screen from the roster all in one place

I wanna have more memory for games(without needing to delete everything to install a new game) i also want better loading for destiny and other games. Which will be the best? I'd like to know pro and cons besides pricing which I'll figure out based on my paychecks and the info I'll acquire. Edit: also any suggestion on buying a usb dock or whatever(to have more then two usb ports on ps4 which sucks that he only has 2! I wanna charge controllers,use a mic a keybored for ffxiv and to plug in external memory for more games)

7 RepliesIts so bad I cant swap weapons in crucible when I die. it only lets me once I've already re-spawned so whatever I swapped to has no ammo. Takes like 30 second for my character to show up.
