Why would you schedule the Dreaming City cosmetic drop rate patch to come out the week AFTER the Shattered Throne??? How hard is it to say to yourself "Hmm, maybe it would make more sense to have the patch come out when the Shattered Throne is available so players don't have to wait an additional 3 weeks to take advantage of it?!" Seriously, who is in charge of stuff like this over there? A bunch of monkeys?

87 RepliesThat’s how scheduling pans out sometimes. We couldn’t bring the patch forward a week- would have lost some fixes and tuning in the process. Couldn’t bump curse week out, would have impacted many systems tied to the calendar of recurrence. I agree, it’s a bummer we couldn’t have these both land on the same week, but curse week will continue happening in Destiny 2- it’s not going away. You will have a chance to get the cosmetic next time Shattered Throne is around.

1 ReplyIf they would've brought it this week somebody else would've wanted it 3 weeks ago. Another person would be whining that it wasn't done 6 weeks ago. Others would've wanted it the first week of Dreaming City (ok, that would've been nice :) ). Maybe instead of dropping it next week, what if they stated it would drop when Shattered Throne came back around in 3 weeks because it wouldn't be ready for this week?

Sometimes I like to play a little game...
-
Oh no. The world is ending.
-
It is an example of them manipulating the play time. The timing is too convenient for it to be a coincidence
-
Because they lack common sense, don't care and don't play their own game. Look at how long it took them to adjust the drop rate.
-
11 RepliesAt this point, Shattered Throne needs to be open full time.

5 RepliesMonkeys would be more efficient in getting things done.

1 ReplyBecause it's makes sense.... they're not here to please us or make sense.

16 RepliesEdited by jack_zedd: 4/2/2019 9:24:28 PMDude, they released it when they got it done. There's no one in there saying "let's just wait a couple of weeks just to mess with the people who support our game". Chill.

1 ReplyI'll LMFAO if the patch is glitched. Imagine what the forums would look like then. Delicious.
-
Honestly, with how the game is going, it probably is a bunch of monkeys.
-
2 RepliesBecause thats not how releasing upates works. ESPECIALLY on consoles. Updates have to be submitted for certification for consoles which has to be reviewed and all of that takes time, if they did it any earlier we wouldnt be getting the fixes we are now.
-
Same as variks the loyal lore books AFTER the weekly heroic adventure on the tangled shore.
-
Always a bright side my dude. Think of it as a few weeks early ;)
-
Yea it's not like other stuff is being fixed in the update besides that or anything...
-
16 RepliesWow the crybaby in you is strong
-
maybe it make more sense to leave the shattered throne there instead for all to try at anytime
-
Even if they had the patch complete and ready to ship, blizzard, xbox, and ps4 are forcing them to a specific version at a specific time. They do t to help avoid malware because they get to look through any potential problems, but it is still bullshit that developers have to wait on the service provider.
-
Always intentional
-
That is insulting to monkeys everywhere.

Edited by Whopping Dingers: 4/3/2019 1:30:40 PMWhat's three weeks, when some guardians waited THREE DLCs for gjallahorn to be sold...and bear in mind that was Bungie going out on a whim because they were nerfing the shit out of it.
