Borderlands 3 announced..
Destiny's days are seriously numbered.
Good luck with leaving major issues un-addressed once again.
Thank god an actual loot shooter is on the horizon.

So you never actually played any Borederlands game before huh? Its a vastly superior loot and shooter.. probably the best. Why play a game with no actual loot? We are talking about 20 variations of weapons vs millions.. seriously its not even close. Story? Ha.. Borderlands does that in spades.

See I was a huge Borderlands player. So the choice is easy for me. Story, loot, characters, content.. All vastly better than anything I have seen in Destiny yet. Destiny looks great, very pretty and the gun play is top notch. That is all it really has going for it. Right now.

The story and lore are amazing , some great characters and weapons. Raids , pvp and lots of horde modes . Destiny is in a class of its own

Wait I thought The Division, Anthem, and The Division 2 each killed Destiny when they released? Oh that’s right they didn’t because people play more than just one game.

That's a concept people seem to struggle with. Played 100s of hours of Destiny? Got your money's worth? Don't like the current state of the game? Play something else. Simples.

Someone has said that with every release of a AAA game that even kinda shares the same niche as Destiny. If Destiny dies, it will be by its own failings, not because other games will kill it.

You’re absolutely right, but I have never seen in the history of the franchise so many people that were literally pissed off, it was almost always a 50/50 split with loads of people defending Bungie.... not anymore.

And that’s the exact same thing that people said before anthem. That’s the exact same thing I’ve seen some people said before sekiro or dmc 5. Nothing is going to happen to destiny and it’s days are not numbered in the sense you bring up. Borderlands 3 is hopefully going to be a good game but even if it’s as poular as apex legends or fortnite destiny will still not die.

Well, if you said about game itself, sure it's still here. And it will be until september for sure. And maybe soon Bungie will show us new content for autumn and new annual pass. But the truth is, playerbase keep driving away not because of cores or something, but because game became boring. When Last Word quest came out last season, player base jumped form 700k to 1,3 million. When Thorn came out this season, numbers keep droping. Game have nothing new to offer. Even new guns are reskins of gambit guns. So we have gambit guns, prime reskins and don't forget all IB weapon of this year are reskin of Gambit guns. And next season will be Leviathan's guns and armor reskins. As far as I know, Destiny 2 had only half of Destiny 1 sales. And it's came to PC. And only 30% of this numbers for Forsaken sales. Well, now I think only active players will buy next annual pass, it's around 400k. And if it will be same quality as current annual pass, there will be less then a million sales for Destiny 3, cause Bungie trust credit now so low. So, if Destiny 3 will failed in sales, franchise will be dead for sure. That's why Destiny faded, not cause of Anthem, Division 2 or Borderlands.
