I don’t remember them saying no nerfs, and even then the shottie nerf is a necessary thing, and even then more shotguns got a buff than a nerf, so they’re doing right. You have to understand that when a game like this has a ton of loot yet people only use a handful of weapons or gear adjustments need to be made to said gear to make it so it isn’t the only choice, gjallerhorn and black hammer are perfect examples, once they got nerfed people found other weapons that were just as good (crazy right). And I get the whole “just make everything powerful” mentality I do but then you’ll get a game where you can just walk through end game content like it’s nothing, that isn’t fun. Hell look at borderlands 2, arguably the perfect example of a good looter shooter, even in that game conference call and the bee got nerfed because they were just [b]TOO GOOD[/b] and that’s a good thing. Nerfs aren’t inherently bad they just have to be done right, and for once just by looking at the numbers bungie seems to have done it right. Also the PvP nerfs you can thank the community for those, everyday you come here you’ll see at least one “nerf OEM” “nerf shotguns” post because of PvP. So I ask you, is bungie not really listening?

They did this perfectly with shotguns by balancing some aspects of certain underperforming archetypes while nerfing others that were too powerful by comparison, and for linear fusions by reducing long range effectiveness while bidding overall damage

5 RepliesWhen there are countless threads of people complaining about Luna, Telesto, Jotunn, hunters, warlocks, Titans, skating, One Eyed Mask, too casual, too hardcore, matchmaking, comp, 4 stacks, try hards, lag, iron banner...what do you expect Bungie to do? We as a community are the ones who are failing.
