Matchmaking should at least put together teams with equal overall KDs???????? For Example:
Team1 KD: Player1= 1,0 Player2=1,5 Player3=1,5 Player4=2,0
So overall KD is 1,5
Team 2 KD: Team1 KD: Player1= 3,0 Player2=1,5 Player3=1,5 Player4=0,5
So overall KD is 1,5 again
That should be equal teams.
So please note Player4 in Team 2. He has 0,5 KD. That means his teammmates must be way better than him, if he faces an oppenent team with 1,5 KD overall
I myself am a bad PVP Player, my KD is about 0,94, so if THE OPPENENT TEAM HAS a overall KD that is much higher (for example 2,0) my teammates should be better than me.
But that does not happen often. Many times, my teammates have worse or samish KDs and the opponents have way better KDs.... dont get it...
Its not possible for an 1,0 ish KD Player to get to fabled with random teams.
Dont get me wrong, i am practising to get better, but it seems i dont have talent in playing with a controller...

1 ReplyHere are some tips if you want them: Go into private matches to learn names of map locations, good for when you play in a team. That can help with map knowledge and then you can also practice jumps and how to travel around the map. Playing in the mornings can be easier than in the evenings. Using meta weapons and a strong offensive super definitely helps. If you cant find good people in LFG to play with, its probably because their skill level is better than yours (no offense meant), I also run into this issue. I have an approximate 1.2 KD and 1.7 KDA. I try to use solo matchmaking help me find friends. If you play a match and you like one or two people you played with, send them a "GG" good game, and ask if they would like to party up and play together. Why I think this is a good idea, Bungie matched you up with them, they probably have a similar skill level and are in a similar spot in grinding glory. Learn strategies for "Countdown", usually kill an enemy and rush the survivors. Don't arm the bomb unless you kill one of theirs first. Practice in Rumble or QP new weapons and supers. Probably common knowledge, If you are the only one with a super, that can be a great time to use yours. No one around to counter you easily with a super of their own. Also you start generating orbs for your team mates so they can get their supers going. Masterwork armor for more defense while in super form

Edited by jrsilva23: 2/14/2019 6:07:19 PMI've played 7 games in row (Quickplay)where we were getting destroyed, I left them all, still searching for a competitive game
-
Because you are at 332 glory you won’t start seeing competent teammates until you are 1500+.
-
9 RepliesBuddy I checked your recent comp games youre near the bottom of the leaderboard every game. I dont think teammates are your problem
-
You do understand ranks right? If you don't play well, you don't get a good rank.
-
Kd isn't a good measurement of skill
-
2 RepliesThe best thing to do is to is buy a lag switch and modded controller then you will be good to go just like all the other cheating pub stompers out there
-
Rolling solo in camp is a gamble. The blues are either good or not.Much respect to those that braved comp.
-
Sounds like you are trying this solo? You will need next level patience and some decent skill to earn glory solo. I hope you get to check out my tips post.

4 RepliesI have a Luna's from last season and s mountaintop from this season. I'm a .99 k/d and played a mixture of solo, duo, and 4 stack. I actually had the best luck soloing or duo unless I had a rediculous team bc the matchmaking punishes the shit out of 3-4 stacks now unless ur all very close in glory rank. Use ur mic on game chat that shows u want to win and I found 5-6 players that joined up with me that way in the climb. Send invites or ask to join a 3 stack that is good especially after uv had a good game, the 3 stacks normally get stuck with the worst player in the lobby so they prolly will pick u up. Finally help a PvP mainly person with raids, forges etc in exchange for his help in PvP. 1v1 them. Learn. Use bygones and a shotty or trust and a shotty bc as crappy as shotguns are most of ur team is using them so u will be either by urself to be in ur effective range or in a group with weapons not suited for that range. Good luck

3 RepliesBaddest?
-
because you are at the top. learn to hover at 1.0
-
You have a below 1kd and are posting here complaining that bungies match making doesn't automatically disadvantage better players by putting them on your team? Do you think about what you're posting before posting?
-
Baddest? That's the not smartest thing I've read in the not shortest time
-
Why are you convinced that your team is the “most baddest” lmfao 😂🤣😂
-
2 RepliesIt happens. Move on and keep grinding. I reached fabled twice solo. I've had alot of hard times in comp last season because of NF and LH but this season is easier for me. And believe me. Your best bet is to invite those randos to your party and hope they cooperate
-
It's not just you. It happens to me ALL the time.

9 RepliesEdited by Dredgen Araphel: 2/14/2019 3:05:55 PM1.00 K/D is average despite what kill thots will tell you. K/D is a bad tool to measure skill i myself is only 1 but have pulled higher before.
-
I know I don't have talent with a controller. I very often out think the opposition, but in execution I still screw up a lot. So I stick to my strengths and don't screw around with comp, I like my sanity.
-
The only consistent on your team is you, that is what helped me improve
-
1 ReplyStop complaining, The garbage otherwise known as the PVP Sheit show is working as Bungie intended.
-
It is possible, stick with it. If your on ps4 I’ll comp with u. Denied_valor psn
-
5 RepliesIt’s the worst team. Baddest is not a word.
-
Yep it's tough, but to be honest you are only at 300 points so you will be matchmaking against 0-1000 players. When you get over 1500 then the skill gap becomes much more noticeable, your team mates are usually good but so are the enemies. Its hard to carry unless the players are insane so if you are struggling now at 300 points then getting to fabled is going to be a long grind.
-
Don't worry about the K/D. It's about getting those points, which is about getting those W's. Strategy, gear selection, and team play, even if all you are doing is playing based on a rando's positioning, will win you more rounds than playing Clash every game. Seriously, look into some vids about how to psotion aggressively, how to play passively, when to rush and when to wait, when to arm charges and when not to, peaking and pushing at the right times, etc. It all matters much more than how many kills a game you get.
