If it just happened to me and not hundreds of other people I'd think the same thing, i posted this to bring a obvious bug to their attention. Thanks for your .02 cents though.

I see one person reporting it for D2. There is a post from 2014, which is obviously for the first Destiny game. When you dismantle items, you get legendary shards. Do you have a lot more legendary shards than you did before? It is possible the person used the shards and dismantled whatever they purchased (such as planetary materials from spider) but that would take a while.

That’s the thing....it hasn’t happened to hundreds of others.

You can search Reddit and find an abundance of posts regarding it with plenty of comments of others it's happened too. And no one got ahold of my account i can guarantee that.
