19.31% kills in the crucible are dust rocks
There is lots of weapons in this game but if you want to win in PVP this is the way to go.
Now lets see the apes tell us that shotguns aren't a problem.

1 ReplyI in 4 kills is a shotgun kill. That means the other 3 are not. Seems balanced. I've not looked but what's the next highest ? The next 3 any where near ?

1 ReplyWhat about all the other shotguns? Shotguns are absolutely the strongest weapon archetype but not all shotguns are as good as the dust rock. Also, decided to balance something based on how often it's used is a bad idea. For example, Lunas howl is most used primary weapon but it is definitely not the best primary weapon. You might want to nerf shotguns because you think that will increase the use of other special weapons but that is an incorrect assumption. Shotguns are not a direct counter to snipers and only precision frame shotguns are a consistent counter to fusion rifles.

This is the meta lots of PVP people asked to have back. Lot's of people like running shotgun instead or running around in a pack team shooting.

2 RepliesAll I saw when I read this was " would you please stand still in crucible, and not fire at me while I attempt to kill you"? Damn man....we all have access to shotguns. Get over the whole "meta" thing. Either beat them with your own "preferred" weapon, or join them.

22 RepliesReduce shotgun range overall. Less special ammo in crucible. Make Luna’s/NF exotic. Give Wardcliff 1 round per heavy collected (you nerfed Sleeper ammo in gambit, why not?). Reduce duration of spectral blades and nova warp.

2 Replies~23% are shotguns as of me last checking. Want to know why? Because they're less inconsistent than a fusion or sniper, and can rush by the time an AR or SMG can spray you down. It really isn't hard to stay outside of shotgun range. You have summoned me.

1 ReplyInteresting how shotguns are the way to win as you say. I rarely use shottys in crucible and I still see so much success I've hit fabled the two seasons I tried. I think you might want to try a counter to shotguns. Something like a Fusion rifle that shoots quickly would probably suite you. Check out requim maybe. Or if you have it, critical sass.

I think DRB is the only one that feels a little over used. Chaperone still shoots stupid far, but that's the reward from proper aiming

I prefer my badass bad lander with all the god tier perks. Outslays the majority of dust rock blues users.

3 RepliesI saw an interesting idea about removing precision shotguns from the game and making all existing ones put into other archetypes and I think it’s a great idea. Precision frames have about the same range as a fast firing fusion, it’s ridiculous, when using a shotgun you should have to play insanely aggressive and rely on positioning not just one tap the guy 13 meters from you flat footed

Shotguns are engaging and fast, thus very entertaining to play. I remember Snipers were sitting at 41% at one point and the reply was "Git Gud" Listen man. You're playing a video game, and you're literally demanding people stop using something that makes them enjoy it. Only because YOU aren't enjoying it. I get it, I really do. I used to hate sniper rifles, but I dealt with almost 14 months of them being the ONLY weapon being used in Trials, Lanes being insane to walk down because you'd get capped, etc. There's nothing I can offer you except strategies like checking your damn corners, using a grenade with your primary, and keeping angles/distance. But you wouldn't take the advice anyway
