So me and my friend have been duo-ing our butts off for god knows how many weeks to get up to almost 600. Playing triple characters and doing all powerful gear-drops plus god knows how many strikes and other things afterwards.
Then a third friend of mine who is rather lazy, spends ONE EVENING, grinding the event for the Horror Story rifle. Then all of a sudden the game acts like he's max light and gives him drops for that, which is 600.
Now i'm sitting here on 598 after months, and he's 600 after not more than 3 days. Up from 520.
Why the spit in my face?
Was it reasonable to do this? .. Couldn't you have capped the rifle to something like 560? (Or make it not get calculated in the droplevels)
When i finally felt the grinding felt justified to get to 600, crawling each level up per prime-engram or finished flashpoint, this shit hits the fan.
And i gotta tell you devs, i'm not feeling up for playing anymore.
This is the things that brings you back to the stoneage of thinking.
I'd like an official responce to this, aswell as any others thoughts if you have any.
Was it fair?
It’s a game. who cares?

ps. Your post reeks of bs. I was 568 when I got horror story and got to 584. No way to go from 520 to 600
