You know, instead of putting both of the enemy stacks on the same team?
And all the randoms on the other?
Edit: I'm chalking misunderstandings up to people only reading the title, 'cause the main post is pretty clear.
But to clarify, I don't mean splitting up a single Fireteam. I mean putting separate Fireteams on separate teams.
3-stack and 3 solos VS 3-stack and 3 solos
NOT 3-stack and 3-stack VS 6 solos
NOT Part A of 6-stack and 3 solos VS Part B of 6-stack and 3 solos

No, that would make too much sense
-
It’s too hard

1 ReplyI'm convinced Bungie doesn't have any lobby balancing algorithm. Sure, they have a specific one to populate that lobby, but once it is populated, I think teams just randomize. Far too much evidence.

Edited by Shanine1106: 10/29/2018 3:28:30 AMI’ve seen countless post like this, hell! I even make 1 occasionally but bungie just doesn’t care unless it’s a streamer ranting about something 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

4 RepliesGit gud
-
Couldn’t care less tbh. I play whoever I gotta play.
-
1 ReplyYou know just because they’re in a fireteam it doesn’t automatically mean they all have 3kds. There’s plenty of really shit players to stomp in quick play.

1 ReplyI have been grinding for Redrix, aka playing way too much crucible. After so many hours I now look at it like this ... No skilled base matchmaking is actually good fun. You can come up against God players with 20 seventh column medals, and see how you compare. What is NOT fun is having 4 solos up against full or even small fire teams. My point is, I don't mind getting destroyed by a better player. But it feels bad when it is pure RNG if you get put against teams. Even two stack will more often than not swing the win against four solo players.

1 ReplyEdited by DmdttPS: 10/27/2018 12:10:17 PMcurrently with how the matchmaking system is a 4 man fire team can 100% guarantee that they never face a fireteam larger than 3, how? they matchmake into comp then if the guardians jumps up even once to 5/8 then it no longer is possible for them to be matched against a 4 man fireteam, and if it jumps by 8 they simply can back out of the queue and go again. if they get a jump of 2 to 6/8 then they know the worst they can face is 2 separate 2 man teams. so in essence a 4 man team should always be able to win or at least 75% of the time because they can easily manipulate the current system in their favor. edit: im speaking with comp in mind but the same idea applies to quickplay as well with 6 man fireteams.

1 ReplyThey really need to fix matchmaking.. Solo's should have a higher chance of playing against other solos, and fireteams should have a higher chance of playing against fireteams. And small fireteams, like two or three, should be separated and mixed among solos.
-
4 Repliescan we take off the playstation plus requirement for the most important in game events?
-
My absolute favorite is a fireteam of 4 and they'll match 2 randoms to them while I get 3 randoms for a completely fair 6v4.
-
Some of yall lack brains... he doesnt mean rip apart fireteams. He means put stacks seperately so lioe 2 fireteams dont go on the same team
-
3 RepliesEhm... that's not very logical. At all.
-
3 RepliesThat defeats the entire purpose of playing with friends.
-
2 RepliesThat's just stupid and makes no sense. There would be no reason to play anything but private matches then. Plus what would happen then is people would just start throwing matches for the other side.
-
2 RepliesIts like when there is a four stack and six randoms. They put the four stack with two randoms against four randoms. Dont they know five against five is even, not six against four. Very basic math a child can figure out. By the time two more are put in to even the teams out the score is so lopsided it doesnt matter. They they probably leave anyway.
-
No. Because Bungle.
-
6 RepliesI can’t imagine how many times I’ve seen this. If you don’t want to separate playlists, that’s fine, but teams should ALWAYS be divided on opposite sides.
-
The order players appear in the roster isnt necessarily what team they end up on.
-
1 ReplyIt won't help. Nothing will until they start region matching. Lag is out of this world tonight. I'm being paired with people half way around the world on a Friday....
-
Haven’t played crucible in forever. One match vs team. Constant spawn killed and marshmallow shooting. Onto other things to occupy my time.

i solo queued comp up to 1900 glory and then caved and got a 4 man team for the last 3 wins because i didn’t want to risk losing any points and losing my 5 win streak. let me tell you, it is totally unfair. we only matched one 4 stack and one 3 stack, the rest were duo or solo queue. i genuinely felt bad for the people who we matched because i know how bad it was when i was solo queuing and kept matching 4 man teams. stacked teams versus solo queue or even duo queue players is not competitive, it’s just unfair, plain and simple. if bungie wants any future in the comp playlist, they need to match teams against teams and solos against solos.
-
Thankyou thankyou. Bungie does this a lot. Its the most stupid thing ever.

This happens all the time... what the hell?
