Don’t want to face 4 stacks .... then just don’t!
Hello. This isn’t a moaning post about comp, just a trip for solos who don’t want to face stacks.
This method can be a little tedious but so can being in a seemly pointless game bound for defeat. It’s pretty obvious but it just came to me as I was sitting on comp loading screen, solo, sick as -blam!- and dead behind the eyes.
Just watch the 1/8 circle. If your 1/8 and it just to 5/8 you can always just back out. If you’re at 4/8 and it jumps to 8/8 back tf out! Even if you don’t like 3 stacks you could back out on jumps of 3. This can ensure you’re never faced with a 4.
I know it doesn’t guarantee victory, trust me I’m still matched with thumbless Stevie Wonders but as we all know communication gives an edge. Also if people are bothering to 4 up they most likely mean business, they are there for one thing and will do their upmost to get it.

2 RepliesWhenever I was at 4/8 and it jumps to 8/8 it instantly flies us in. Doesnt give time to back out until you're in the match, and then you get punished. Thank God I din't play crucible anymore.

It's what I did when i was playing comp. Unfortunately many times it instantly throws you against a higher rank stack and there isnt enough time to react even though your thumb is on the button

1 ReplyI was expecting your advice to be "get a full team", simply because you are almost guaranteed to face solo players with a full team.

5 RepliesDon’t care who I match with. I just wish that I would be with a full team. Not a 3-man team as bungie couldn’t load in our fourth member. Absolute disgrace that I should play 3v4 in control and still lose points.

Because those " matched " teams are now in other lobbies... so the search parameters widen, which can result in giving you opponents from either end of the spectrum furthest away from what's deemed a " competitive " match. I've been on the favorable and less than favorable side of this... much less, like why isn't there a mercy in comp less favorable 😂. I would say this is a good method if you're playing in your local prime time when the immediate pool is bigger. Outside of that and you'll be matched with 4 mans all with 3 letter gamertags and not forgottens. Edit: And you will die, in game and literally inside.

Doesn't work like that at all. If you quit twice the third time you try to matchmake they auto load you into the match loading screen, usually against a full fireteam. Next tip.

2 RepliesThis might work for you but it’s not without consequence. The number of times teams have been put together and I’ve immediately gone straight to the roster to find players have backed out is just annoying. But it’s all good if you gain. Who cares about the 3 that gets screwed over.

2 RepliesI did the same method to grind the 25 competitive games needed for broadsword. Works 80% of the time. I never want to go back here ever. It's the most toxic place. Solo teammates even t bag you for dieing and refusing to revive you and losing games because of being arrogant. Also people leaving during fly in or after the losing the first engagement. It's just a shitfest from there with little chance from winning. Permanent bans should be in place for people who deliberately leave. When facing a 4 stack, its either there top tier or just rubbish. If there top tier sweaty then you just hope the beat you as quickly asap so you can gtfo and start the next game.

1 ReplyI use this strategy too. Works pretty good. Quick play, just look at the roster and you can see who's actually loading in as they load in.

I think if you're crushing a match in any game type the right thing is to end it quickly. Mainly Gambit, if your team summons a primeval and decide to just farm kill from the other team who is completely falling apart on the other side, just end it. Having to leave queue while waiting for matches is annoying even a pair of people can give the other team an advantage. What annoys me is going against the same teams over and over or getting out of a stacked match just to requeue against another stacked team. Which leads me to my main grievance... Side note: I love how the game always stops at 4/8 and 6/12 for a long time like it's searching for a four or six stack to join. It always sits there longer than any other player number....

It’s what me and my brother did, everytime it jumped to 6/8 we instantly backed out. Had to do it a couple times though, generally though if you avoid the 4 stack your probably going to go up against a 3 stack or that’s what kept happening to us anyway

1 ReplyNow for a direct shot at op... I tried this quite a bit. It doesn't work unless you wait enough time for the match to fill. Which is about 1:15-2:45 on a good day. You not accepting doesn't do anything but prolong the time that que is in need. If you don't like what you see, leave and go do something for 5 min. Only way you can avoid that situation. Next best bet is stop playing comp There are enough solos to actually make a difference. But that won't happen. If we stop, teamsters will get matched with other teamsters.[spoiler]and they will complain cause they won't be able to stomp solos anymore[/spoiler] and 3 man fire teams will have to wait forever. Which is another complaint Just sayin

7 RepliesSo i tried this on pc for about 30 mins and it kept going from 1/8 to 5/8... waited 5 mins and tried again, same result... unless you use lfg sites/apps to team up odds are that you will face a full team and possibly the same team that obliterated your randos over and over.. that is from my personal experience since it happened for three games in a row before i called it for the night, “wasted”, not spent more then 2 hours and did not get into a game of solos v. solos.

12 RepliesActually it doesn't guarantee anything. Your method is B's. It only works if the the first person mached with you is a solo player. And the one to follow him and so on depending on tolerance for other teams. Don't act like you have the fix because you don't. Solos at the current moment need to give up on the idea of doing this solo. Trust me, I've done the research. You have to be good enough to support a stacked team of 3 at a moments notice. Next step down from that is be willing to do what your recommending. The easiest way to do this is to just find someone else. Seriously. Play a few rounds and pick the top dog who isn't tied to someone. They just might accept. It can't possibly be worse than how matchmaking currently is. I've made quite a few post by this point. No response from bungie Then I decided to look in the help area Nothing Then the feedback area Nothing Seeing the point? It's a sad thing, but if you want a shot, find someone. Hell add me if your on Xbox. But there is no shot solo I've looked into those who say they got Luna... The majority may have been solo, but not all of it...
