2 RepliesLiterally any decent player with just about any sniper can take out a sleeper invader. Any grenade launcher or any rocket launcher.... wtf is with you people crying over sleeper.. just adapt to the damn game mode. It's not crucible, not competitive. When someone invades, they are 4v1. It's not anyone's fault that you can't plug in a mic and coordinate with your team to take down an invader 4v1. Or even get behind cover and make them move around or come to you. Sleeper is not ruining or will ever ruin gambit. Cry babies whining every time they get killed by an invader will do that. Adapt to the game mode, adapt to someone using sleeper. It SHOULD be a 1hit kill.. it's a heavy. Aren't rockets 1 hit, grenades? Supers? You people act like it's the ONLY viable option in gambit when there are plenty of other weapons to counter it. IMO, the best counter isn't even a weapon, it's common damn sense.

To be fair, it's hard to miss with, has a big hitbox, strong aim assist, guaranteed to one shot regardless of where you hit them, regardless of buffs, and distance, and can get collateral kills from around walls, and it's catalyst significantly reduces it's charge time to a little over half a second. Personally I think there's no reason at all why a weapon designed for bosses that almost no one used in D1 returned and is so rewarding considering the lack of effort it takes to use. Theres no reason why any one weapon should rule PVP (looking at everyone who seemingly only gets kills with shotguns because apparently PRIMARY WEAPONS are no longer a thing in crucible except for bows) much less a specific game mode, your other option is to as one really stupid guy said in D1 is to buff other weapons to match (which would have worked so well with weapons like OLD Mythoclast and OLD Hawkmoon with it's capability to one shot or Necrochasm to OLD Suros) If one of the following happened no one would use it: Match damage to it's impact which compared to other Linear fusion rifles has 2 or more impact Reduce hitbox Reduce aim assist Change effect of it's catalyst Reduce body shot damage, buff precision damage (worked for Mythoclast) Reduce projectile speed to match another weapon type Reduce zoom Reduce ammo size or reserves If any of these were done it's usage would drop significantly.

Or they could address the fact that Invading is low risk all reward venture. Even if you just go in, it diverts the entire enemy team from what they are doing to either hide or find you. Plus you or your team don't suffer any penalty or loss if you die

Any one else getting Gravtion flashbacks ? Same problem yet Gravtion it was no no no only buffs but here with Sleeper it is nerf nerf nerf. Kinda acting like hypocrites people. But I do stand by nerfs are needed as much as buffs and if Sleeper really is that freaking OP (like Graviton Lance) then it needs nerfed.

3 Repliesor.....OR.....make it so it isn't a one shot kill on any limb. Make it so it mostly kills enemy players, then you can make a build to quickly swap to a precision weapon to finish them off. Then at least people would have the small chance to avoid it. If it take a head shot from a sniper, close range from a shotgun and a giant slow projectile from rockets to pull off one shot kills in the heavy slot, then sleeper need a disadvantage to balance it.

4 RepliesThere should not be a 1 weapon meta. People want to use more than 1 weapon.

Or... maybe... you don’t... get heavy... when you invade.............

ffs it's SIMULANT!! Sleeper SIMULANT
-
You literally EVER played gambit before??
Think before you speak
Agreed. As they have shown that they refuse to separate PvE from PvP, they need to leave it alone. If you are tired of dying to it in Gambit or crucible, go get your own.

3 RepliesIf it gets nerfed ill just use whisper, not a big deal at all lol
-
If it gets nerfed I wouldn’t mind. But if the nerf effects pve experience then I have to blame all the try hard losers that only pick the easiest weapons possible because they suck that much. When shotguns get nerfed we’ll see more bitching and moaning at bungie but you know the player base is to blame just as much for failing to improve themselves and leaning on powerful weapons to win rather than learning to diversify their experience.

2 Replies‘Simulant’. 🙄. Spell check can be a pain.
