No, not talking about the Sleeper, but the fact that if you happen to be a solo player you are almost certainly going to be teamed up with other solo players against a full fire team of 4.
Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to fix this so fireteams were up against fireteams?

As broken as the Forum

Definitely something up with network consistency I pull a steady 250 Mbps and still get serious lay spikes regularly.

3 RepliesGambit is impossible to play solo and have fun. The matchmaking is literally horrendous.
-
3 RepliesThe fact is its not. i play solo and with a fireteam. you win some. you lose some. Its that simple. Theres no special loadouts, no special team advantages, you either stomp or you get stomped...
-
Between the quests distracting people from the actual objective and the 4 stacks that burn their prime in 5 seconds or less. I avoid the mode for now outside of daily/weekly bounties.
-
12 RepliesI would say the rewards system is the most broken part. It can take 30 minutes to complete a match just to get a single blue item. It doesn't have a good time investment to reward ratio and it's not fun enough to live on it's own.
-
2 Replies4 stacks isn't what;s broken, the endless invades and buffs are, when the other team in behind!
-
Gambit was fun for a week then the repetitive nature of it gets stale fast
-
So I was solo queuing Gambit and two teammates with sleepers hung out at the invader spawn points pretty much the whole game leaving me and another player to kill adds and pick up motes. They'd take turns invading but most of the time were spawn killing invaders with sleepers. The really messed up part of it was we won. So... if that's how Bungie expected us to play Gambit then Working As Intended.

4 RepliesThere is some really weird stuff going on in Crucible and Gambit lately. I'm pretty sure peeps are making bots. I saw, on two seperate matches yesterday, a guy on my crucible team just running in a circle, and shooting bursts. He did it the whole match. I saw another one, on the enemy side that day, just standing, shooting bursts at the ceiling. He respawned, and kept doing it. it looked mechanical, not random. And Gambit, idk whats going on there. I solo and come in 1st place almost every time. I go in with one friend, i come in last place every time. We almost always win the 1st match, then the second one it's like people just stop playing on purpose. It feels like we are playing a whole different team after round 1. Lastly, in my last match , i was fighting an orange bar scorn which was a bit of a struggle and took longer than i hoped. Nobody else was running around killing anything. As soon as i killed it, the other 3 stood up from behind barriers, right next to me, in unison, and ran off. It was the weirdest thing ive ever seen. Like they were all ducking down and waiting until i killed it. I didnt even know they were there because not one of them tried to help. It just seems really weird, odd behaviours. I feel like people are failing on purpose, and im convinced theres bots in crucible now.

1 ReplyI'm not sure it's a solo vs. team issue - there's some weird stuff going on in Gambit, and I refuse to believe THAT many people (solos or teams) seriously don't know how to play the mode. Once in a great while I'll see a 2-0 win, but in over 90% of my matches the team who win Round 1 lose the next 2 by a significant margin (both my team or the opponents - it almost ALWAYS flips, and the Round 1 winner almost never makes a comeback). Let's even say that MIGHT be due to players farming Malfeasance, and giving up when they notice the Servitor doesn't spawn. (Also, it's evened out a BIT, but the team who pulls their Primeval first in Round 1 loses far more often than should be the case - I attribute this mostly to the losing team having unlimited Portal access once a Primeval is summoned, and possibly the first team throwing the match after they see it's not the Malfeasance boss or giving the other team a chance to see if they get the Servitor, but it's bizarre that a team who only banked 20 motes and waited for the portal suddenly get 55 motes, summon their Primeval, and defeat it almost instantly while ONE player portal-spams with infinite Sleeper rounds and keeps the other Primeval at full health, then go on to soundly lose the next two rounds.) Primevals and wins aside, it's astounding how many players seem to have no understanding of the game, even with Drifter calling out instructions - I get stuck with randoms who sit and camp mid-map, don't shoot ads, don't kill Blockers, don't bank Motes, don't even pick up Motes, don't kill Envoys, don't Invade, don't kill Invaders, and every possible combination of any or all of the above. It's honestly like half my teammates aren't even playing, yet I see them running around and assume they're at least trying...until the end-game screen shows they didn't get a single kill or bank a single Mote. Not to sound all conspiratorial, but this sort of thing happens far too often and consistently to be random - I think there IS some matchmaking mechanic going on, but it's not the type anyone wants. (Also, ever notice that some rounds the enemies seem harder to kill and do more damage than others? I've been 540 for a while and usually run the same gear every match - the Envoys in particular are almost insta-kill some matches, and others they're easier to kill and do noticeably less damage. Same with Knights, Chieftains, Wizards, Hydras, Blockers, and other mid- to high-tier enemies, even with LL advantages enabled [supposedly for PvP only], it's like the damage tables are shifting around between matches.)

2 RepliesLet me show you. I spent 40+ in gambit games looking for Meatwad last Reset. Never even saw him once. Ok no big deal. I’ll get him sooner or later. Bungie: Meatwad will show himself less frequently during non Curse week. Me: How the Fck can you show up less than NEVER??? 🤦♀️

Its not broken its just trash
-
1 ReplyDoesn't happen that often honestly. You are more likely to have flipped matches that drag on, than get a 4-stack. 4-stack teams aren't guaranteed to be good as well.
-
What they should do to deal with the sleeper problem is make it so when they’re aiming down their sights with it they’re no longer able to see their name tags. This’ll somewhat help you from getting insta kill when they peek out of a corner.
-
It's miserable alone. I dread doing anything in it even with a team. Sleeper needs to be be dealt with.
-
I know when I go in solo, it's gonna be a train wreck. as Hudson would say, "maybe you haven't been keeping up with current events but we just got our arse kicked pal", "game over, man"

1 v 4. Yes, f*cking broken. Why start a game as a 1 v 4? Bungo's response:
Working as intended.
2 RepliesYou just need to play smarter then them. I play solo and have destroyed full teams and I have been destroyed as well. I find we usually lose because of that one guy. The one try ing not to die so they never leave the spawn or the guy that camps at the portal and does nothing but invade ornyhe one trying to only deposits 15 motes and always gets kill with 14. It's always my own team that seems to cots us the game

6 RepliesThis is the same issue that keeps coming up in Crucible matchmaking. Everytime Bungie moves towards SBMM and trying to make sure that matches are competitive, the streamers, content creators, and sweaties who want to simply pub-stomp start to complain..... ...and Bungie backs off.
-
I haven’t really noticed it to be much of an issue in Gambit. Most 4 stacks I’ve run into are just a bunch of clowns with no thumbs.
-
2 RepliesI don't mind the solo vs team problems. It's mostly Sleeper that bothers me.
