Players Who Say Solo Competitive is Doable Work For Bungie
It's impossible to play competitive solo. Every match is against stacked teams and if this is not good enough, your team mates leave.
I've just played two matches alone, because my team mates left the match.
It's the worst punishement you can get in Destiny, when team mates leave and you have to stay.
Just played 9 minutes 1 vs 4. It was horrible.
WELL DONE BUNGIE with your matchmaking, putting teams against solo's.

2 RepliesAll they have to do is put in basic matchmaking filters. Tier 1: 6-man premade Tier 2: 5-man premade, 1 solo Tier 3: 4-man premade, 2 solo/2-man premade Tier 4: 3-man premade, any combination to equal 3 Tier 5: 2-man premade, any combination to make 6 that's less than a 3-man Tier 6: all solo players Prioritize each grouping to another grouping of the same tier, holding them in queue until an equal tier is available, expanding the search to adjacent tiers only if the queue time goes on for too long (say 4 minutes). This is how pretty much every modern competitive game in existence does it. There is NO reason Destiny 2 can't do it besides bungie either being lazy, incompetent, or terrified of longer queue times reflecting badly on the playerbase size.

Everyone’s experience in comp is different, I got my Luna’s howl solo and I don’t know if like the stars aligned or something that I got decent team mates for most of my games but for the games I had bad team mates I lost unfortunately. But I don’t wanna sound corny but it’s all in a positive attitude don’t be afraid to go against stacked teams it would get you better believe me plus just gotta play mind games even when they team shot. I’m sure if you get decent team mates and you split the enemy team when they team shot because your the one they can only see on their radar while your other team mates are coming you can pick off people easy. It’s all about getting better my friend stay positive!

Edited by Valhalla: 9/25/2018 4:22:33 PMI will NEVER understand why Bungie thinks its perfectly fine to match up solo players in competitive activities like pvp, gambit, etc. with fireteams of 3+ ppl. Its so frustrating that after 4 years Bungie doesnt do anything against it

Problems with competitive are so numerous, they should just remove competitive and focus on fun pvp

1 ReplyI put a similar post the other day. out of 7 games, 4 were 3 v 4 the entire match. the rest of the time you solo v 4 stacks, its hell.
