I have been casually following Forsaken news up until the launch. I heard something about resets being changed.
So when Saturday hits I am thinking to myself “Okay that’s a change to the resets I assume.” While I know 4 days isnt a week I thought they were just changing the day certain resets happened and in order for that to change there would have to be an awkward phase where it doesnt last a week. Now on Tuesday I am told ONLY the players who did the weekly challenges wont get a reset despite the fact they didnt get rewards in the first place. This is the most hypocritical treatment of consumers I have ever seen since players who knowingly glitched into an area currently unplayable get to keep their raid rewards.
TL;DR Not everyone is lurking the forums. I currently have a job I work over 40 hours a week with school and barely have enough time to play Destiny as is and now there is no point to even boot up the game for pretty much a week.

ABBA!

It's not punishment! They had to find the problem and fix it! Well that's the way I see it anyways. Heck those glitches resets didn't even reward powerful gear so punish for what? And, as much as I disagree with it, they don't punish players for exploiting, for example the raid chest thing.

I'm glad I didn't have time to do anything past crucible "fake" milestone. As for the glitches, let them have it. I tend to avoid the 1st week of the raid anyways.

4 RepliesReally, the most hypocritical treatment of consumers you've ever seen? This is a freaking game. There are people being ripped off by drug companies so maybe have some perspective.
-
Bungie is fixing it tomorrow. You will get your missed rewards
-
It's not a "punishment" for an "exploit". It's that Bungie derped up a segment of code and had to sorta reboot the thing to get it working right.
-
2 RepliesBungie probably have no way of tracking who 'benefited' from the weekly reset glitch. I was affected by it and think the solution should be to drop one or two random powerful items to everybody's postmaster. Or a couple of Eververse engrams, just something to acknowledge that Bungie messed it up and it's not on the people that were just playing the game. As far as the people glitching into the map and getting the raid chest is concerned, I really would not like to see them get the rewards taken from them. I didn't benefit from this but they haven't cheated in any way and don't deserve the gear to be taken from them.

7 Replies3 milestones are bugged. 3. Out of all the daily and weekly milestones, and daily prime engrams, 3 being gone for the week is too many. Pointless to log in. May as well just take back the dlc, bungie
-
3 Replies
Impacted players will be given proper Weekly Challenges and Powerful Rewards.
Fully agree they shouldn't penalise those that glitched inside, But they should take those items; weapons or armor back. Nobody should enter the new raid; with an unfair advantage; over those that chose not to take advantage of bungie's mistake.
-
Lol you lost engrams and you have nothing to do until next week? I lost those same engrams and still managed to go up 8LL on reset day. There is plenty more to do. Stop being a baby.

It happened to me with my second character. I started on Sunday (after the second reset on Saturday) and I obviously completed all my milestones ONLY ONCE before Tuesday (yesterday). My surprise? I cannot do 3 milestones this week with that character. Levelling up is hard enough, I don’t need bugs added to the equation 😂
-
I completed these milestones early as well, with the changes they have made to the way resets work now I don’t believe they think any one was abusing the system and should be punished. I understand it is a bug that they are trying resolve. We may have missed a couple milestones this week but there are plenty of other ways such as Prime engrams and bounties you could earn gear from. Good luck!

1 ReplyClearly you havent played a bungie game before. Its an error on their side, so therefore it would me messed up if they took the loot from us
-
1 ReplyIt’ll be okay... just search for lore, and earn those prime engrams.
-
I do believe that we should have some benefits considering the amount of 500 drops due to completing weekly events. But if exploit keep your gear double standards.
-
Yeah, unless you are glued to YouTube or B.net players have little idea what's going on. When I played Destiny 1 I had no idea B.net existed for the longest time and didnt frequent YouTube. I assumed you could play the game and that communication about the game would be delivered within it. Either way, I agree. Bungie screwed up. They should right the wrong, not punish people for not knowing. Meanwhile, the Raid loot glitchers who knew they were getting stuff they weren't supposed to get to keep their stolen property. These two issues were handled the opposite of the way they should have been.
-
Not an exploit, you didn't profit from doing them. I did 2 and still have the third (on my first character) plus all 3 on my second. If you don't have time to log in and play, it shouldn't really matter because it sounds like you won't be playing the higher levelled activities yet anyway. It's all good dude.

Edited by Bieltan: 9/11/2018 11:57:55 AMYou'll be missing 3 weekly milestones. You'll still have at least another 11 across the course of the week. Oh, and Prime Engrams of course.
