I like the faction rally grind but farming 1000 token gets boring after a while.I think the patrol missions should at lease give 1 renown and one faction token or one or the other and the high vale target needs to have 2 tokens and 1 or 2 renown, and then increase the amount of faction tokens by one after you lose a pvp match and plus have all faction gear and weapons, ghost, sparrow, ship, and shaders equipped to increase the amount of tokens or renown or both. All comments are welcome.

1 ReplyIs the catalyst still available with dead orbit for the lance
-
It’s gross. Are we having fun yet?
-
I did the ornaments for 3 characters as well as milestones for factions and it got me to rank 40
-
Two, too, and to. Find the right one and use it.

1 ReplyConsidering it's a casual game, I'd say so. But then again you don't need to grind to level 50 in a weeks faction rally.
-
There is no doubt that it's a long grind, but I'm OK with it. I have kids and a full time job, so I don't expect to be able to earn everything that Bungie puts out there. If I can get 2 of the 3 catalysts before the end of the season, I'll be happy with it. I fully support letting the hardcore players reap all of the rewards. It gives the grind a little more meaning than if every schmoe (myself included) is able to achieve everything.

1 ReplyI had 200 tokens from the first set of daily tasks across 4 characters. Just doing the daily and weekly should get you there.
-
4 RepliesBro farm Titan you'll be done in like 4 to 5 hours lol
-
Not bad at all to be honest
-
How about 25 faction endgrams... And, 100 Crucible kills... And, 100 nightfall kills?
-
Well, it’s certainly a long grind, though I think this is what Bungie was thinking of, or “bringing the hobby back”. I certainly can’t do all of it in a day, so making it a week long “hobby” is alright.
-
It’s not bad if you have 3 characters in full armor and run the daily milestones. I’m sitting at 25 with DO and I wouldn’t say I have been grinding.

10 RepliesEdited by Golden: 6/29/2018 7:24:19 PMNot really, its like a few hours a day, or if you dont want to do hours, you can take your time and eventually get it when the final faction rally of this season is over. People grinded months and months for one weapon in Destiny 1.

4 Repliesday 4 of faction rally and I've managed to get full set of FWC armor and all season 3 ornaments across all three class characters. the grind was real though...
-
Do I think that the rally grind is unmanageable? Not even a little bit. If you take an hour a day over the course of a seven day period and do your dailies on three characters plus a few HPE's/Lost Sectors, you'll be golden. It'll be even easier if you've managed to snag full armour sets on all three characters as well. I do think that they could be a little less stingy with the tokens in some respects though. Overall it's not as bad as some people would like to make it out to be but Bungie do still need to keep refining the event to make it more exciting.

Rank 50 in 3 days but I’m not going to do third time!

Edited by NerdslayerNo1: 6/29/2018 6:14:12 PMI don’t like grind period. It’s just not my thing. I find repetition boring. People ask for more grind. It’s just not me. Just make games fun that’s the thing for me and I’ve never found repetition fun. I kinda think it’s a problem that I’m doing things because I have to not cause it’s fun.
-
My issue is that there is absolutely no way I’m going to be motivated to do the 3rd faction rally. I’m already having trouble staying motivated for this one
-
im upto about level 46 now as i changed this week. but it took me to level 27 to get 1 full set of armour. i have noticed some patrols give 2 though. and some events now give 4. so its usually an event then patrol and lost sector. if you start the patrol before the event you will often complete it whilst doing the public event. i was flying through them yesterday full armour should give more than 1 token. we are losing a useful exotic here

10 RepliesEdited by Super68: 6/29/2018 11:03:31 PMThe problem may not be the 1000 tokens in one week. I think that is very doable by anyone if they want to put in a grind that gets very boring after a while. The real problem is the schedule of the player during faction rally week. There are certain weeks that players may be only able to put in 5-7 hours due to long work hours, business trips, summer school or summer camps, vacations, prior commitments after work, etc. That may not be enough to get the catalyst. If one of these busy weeks falls during faction rally, the player could be screwed - not because they couldn't get 1000 tokens in a week, but rather because they were physically unable to do it. Probably why there should have at least been four faction rallies in S3 instead of three. Give at least a small buffer to those who may not have the time during one of the weeks. Bungie seems to have dedicated Season 3 to the no-lifer/streamer, and is deliberately suppressing the normal/average/solo player. May be a good decision in the long run, but I honestly think it will come back to bite them.

1 ReplyOr rather the rally is too short. As opposed to "you can grind at your leisure" way in D1.
-
Rather see the stupid renoun thing gone during EP lol
-
3 RepliesIt’s meant to be done over the course of the DLC, not all at once. Where they defeated themselves on this is locking weapon catalysts behind this event, and locking it to 1 per account
-
No? I play only 2-3 hours a day and that's already enought to lvl up my faction each day 10 ranks. People asked for a grind because everything was easy, Bungie gave you a grind and now you guys keep crying over the grind? Hypocritical as it gets.
-
If you do the daily faction milestones over the course of the week. You get more than enough tokens to hit rank 50. Besides, you are meant to reach rank 50 over a season.
-
12 RepliesTakes 4-5 hours...not bad at all. We need more to grind after 50.
