removed all skill, strategy and communication needed to complete a basically tougher strike LOL
(Edit: this is an opinion that is fundamentally only relating to the Prestige mode, I don’t do the normal one)

2 RepliesAt the very least, they should have left the timer in Prestige. I guess the old D1 Nightfall strategy of slowly camping your way to the boss is going to be back.
-
2 RepliesYea timers are there still, which i was going to say does need to be either taken away or given more time to. I play with a horrible best friend, i shouldnt be forced into running through something because standing and fighting is futile with this person. Where did you hear otherwise?
-
20 RepliesTimers are artificial difficulty. It’s a test of speed running. Not skill or strategy.
-
3 Repliestimers are stupid. puzzles are stupid. this is a shooter. let us shoot things...and use our abilities and grenades to kill things and support. this isn't bejeweled
-
1 ReplyThere is still a timer. Wtf I thought it would be gone
-
2 RepliesEdited by drvankmen: 1/29/2018 8:55:58 PMTimers were another brick in the worst wall ever built standing between destiny and its real fanbase. Nightfall should still play like it did in vanilla, the mistake was ever changing it from what it was. Adding the timer was an abomination on another level. Like making a looter shooter with NO loot worth getting for example.

5 RepliesI just want to kill every enemy instead of running by them
-
5 RepliesI am absolutely loving all the salty tears from people like the OP... especially the ones who were so snarky and over-confident when we were asking for the removal of the timer claiming we needed to suck it up because the timer would never be removed...... L. f'king O. L!

damn. 0 upvotes.

2 RepliesThe timer just felt like an artificial "challenge." And a majority of players wanted it gone. Once you were leveled, the timer didn't actually matter. So why have it? To keep "casuals" from playing the game? Playerbase is already down, they don't want to isolate the game even further.
-
1 ReplyBoo hoo, somethings changing that MOST want and you are not happy. A majority of players hate the timer. Casual or hardcore.
-
2 RepliesTimers are terrible. It reduces content to 'how much can we skip'.
-
3 RepliesNobody liked the timer. Timers are a sign of lazy game design and aren't popular, just look at Xcom 2. That game had a half dozen ways to stop the timer in game so people could actually enjoy playing it.
-
Mwahahahaha hahahha. Casual for life!! MwhahahahahahahahaaahhahahahahaHahha.

6 RepliesI liked when it kicked you to orbit when the fireteam all died. That needed skill and communication but you still could play to your play style. A timer doesn't allow that. It forces a play style I don't like.
-
5 RepliesI think it should be like the original D1 nightfalls! Now that was fun. I can remember a lot of fun times!!!
-
1 ReplyYeah but, no one ever said "I'll stop playing Destiny 2 Nightfalls if you remove the timers." Many many many people don't do them because of it. I hope the Scoring goals are harder than the timer. Enough to make people ask for the timer back.
-
1 ReplyIn my opinion they should keep the timers and give you a choice ,on or off. On aura off no aura.
-
No skill scrubs that ran through every strike in D1 cried about a timer that made them do what they've done for the last 4 years... Scrubalicious. Git gud.
-
6 RepliesTakes skill, PvE activities are so boring because everything is in a set pattern. Doesn't take much skill, strategy, and communication unless you're a potato. I'm happy to do these solo now, hell I'd be alright if they brought back kicked to orbit.
-
2 RepliesThe timer was only ever a challenge if you were soloing or two-manning anything but the torrent nightfalls. Maybe if we had modifiers that actually meant anything, or nightfalls actually changed enemy volume and placement in a way that made the strikes any kind of challenge then they'd be worth salvaging as some kind of ~hard core~ circle jerk. But they don't, and they're not. Nightfalls are barely a step above heroic strikes.

1 ReplyI would like to see a mix of things. "Cabal are gonna launch a missile at the sun, get there, kill the bossman with the key and shut it down in time." Some variations can be zones or a boss with no revives. Some can do revives, but suffer slow health regen leading to team wipe.

7 RepliesEdited by Shadowdragon: 1/28/2018 2:09:48 PMThey could have just kept the timer in prestige mode but this literally isn't worth getting your jimmies rustled over.
-
45 RepliesDon't recall a single person asking for that, the decision was Bungies.
