Why so excited about IB?
I'm confused..... Why are folks excited about the upcoming IB after reading the TWAB? It's great they aren't going to cap us but the core issues with game are still not being addressed. With the upcoming IB you will still have to deal with P2P --- LAG --- NO MATCHMAKING --- NO SOLO QUEUES ---- Etc.... The game has not changed at all. If you were frustrated with the last IB then why would this be different? Will the cap lift make more players play? Let me know what you think guys.

It's because the people on this forum, in the main, like to play dress up Barbie. So a video game shooter that allows them to wear cosmetic stuff really really really REALLY REALLY appeals to them. Meanwhile, those of us who prefer actual game changing loot in a loot shooter, continue to be disappointed in yet another cosmetic event. That's assuming of course that anyone can actually stomach playing the abysmal PvP in D2 in the first place.

I don't get it aswell. It's the same boring PvP as usual, on the same maps, same mods ... the rewards are the same weapons and same armor that does nothing and it all looks the same ...

I like the armour designs but I hate the PvP. I had to decide what won that debate, my liking of the armour and wanting something that looked different or my hatred for PvP. It seems my hatred for PvP won so i'm ignoring Iron Banner. I'll grind PvE content for days for something I want but I just can't stand PvP. I don't find anything fun about it. If it was the same length as a PE and over in about 4 minutes then maybe but it drags on even when you are completely outmatched and it's obvious there is no coming back it still drags on. It's boring as -blam!- is what i'm saying.

I'm excited becasue my new D2 thing is collecting any and all armour across all 3 characters that have ornaments. Not only is it a grind to get the armour for all 3 but it's a cool grind and challenge to unlock the ornaments. Have all crucible gear, vanguard and NM armour. IB this week and then DO on the next faction rally. Something to grind and aim for and collect. What Destiny is all about.

3 RepliesI'm just gonna play for the handcannon and scout rifle. The handcannon has a clean designed I happen to like. Sure Better Devils is better, but that ugly crucible logo is not my cup of tea. As for the scout rifle, it might be good. Still haven't found a veist scout rifle I happen to like yet. Hopefully someday I will

1 ReplyI'm still wondering what makes it different from regular crucible, aside from IB gear and Saladin's erotic sounding voice overs. Why don't the light levels matter anymore? I thought that was the point! Kinda getting sick of all this marketing to casuals. Funny thing is I've stepped down to the casual level myself only because this game offers little to nothing for the hardcore players (except trials but even that has the LL advantages disabled now too)

I agree that crucible is still a mess and that I probably won't enjoy it until 6v6 comes back...but those ornaments are pretty badass though. I want the ship as well

Umm, I want the pulse rifle from season one. Also, I finished in diamond tier while only soloing. It wasn't so bad...
