This community is completely crippled and almost unfixable at this point. Developer and consumer relationship is super important with an online video game and Bungie only speaking once every week and failing to ever recognize constructive feedback directly and being super vague and going into full silence mode every time they fail only makes matters worse. Being a part of the Destiny community right now is super depressing.

6 Replies"Bungie, we want answers." *Bungie gives answers.* "Bungie is lying." Sounds about right for this community.
-
20 RepliesWow, we point out how we are not falling for Bungie's lies again and most of the comments here just want you gone. The Bungie Defense Force is still active and blind as always, willing to ignore being lied to and attacking any negative feedback. This community is a mess.

2 RepliesI'm glad people are starting to wake up. D2 should not have released in such a state such as this. What I can guess is they did added in content but before release, they decided to remove them and add it back in for future DLCs. The proof is the heroic strikes. Hell, they even tried to lock base game content behind the DLC as well.

60 RepliesEdited by UnleashedArcher: 1/12/2018 1:02:45 PMSo here is the thing, at least how i see it; D1 ships incomplete, lots of hyped up promises, overall under delivers. Bungie works hard over the course of three years to adjust the game economy, weapon balances, game balances, writes a better story, has more defined goals, listens to the community and helps make Destiny 1 a pretty decent and satisfying game by the end of year 3 as they showed growth. Many stuck around through out the course of three years as there was plenty to grind for, the raids were fun and overall the game made you want to play between dlcs. Then they announce Destiny 2. Destiny 2 ships incomplete, lots of hyped up promises and under delivers. Now are they expecting us to wait another 3 years after they already established a solid platform in Destiny 1 that they seemingly wiped out for no reason? And in 3 years they will just announce another Destiny most likely as Destiny 2 is a huge failure. I dont have the drive to play this game anymore. There is nothing that makes me want to come back, the only thing is the next DLC that i bought so im stuck til then. Some may not agree with this, but Destiny 2 tarnished Bungie's reputation as a game developer. Cause now when you see another game made by Bungie your gonna think of the colossal CF that was Destiny 2 and not believe a single word they say. Yes the fanboys will preach that they are amazing and whatnot ( you do you) but the analytics show the game has hemorrhaged players, game sales are down, company trust is down and Bungie knowing this show zero sense of urgency. Fall is too far for something most people think should have shipped with destiny 2 on launch. They should have used the Destiny 1 Platform, build off of that and introduced all the stuff they expect us to wait six months for. Now yes, its a step in the right direction, but honestly any step is in the right direction when you have been running backwards for 6 months. And before you say, go play another game, yes i am playing other games and destiny 2 is collecting dust, but understand this, i love the idea behind destiny and i loved destiny 1, i want to see the game succeed as it encompasses a lot of things i look for in a game. But destiny 2 is a hollow experience there is really no arguing that. I will play the next DLC because i have to, but after that it looks bleak if i will buy anymore DLCs or anything Bungie makes in the future.

7 Replies"Eververse was never intended to be a substitute for end-game content and rewards." That blatent lie made everything else Barrett posted suspect.
-
1 ReplyThe problem isn't lies, never was. The problem was that Bungie was bound and determined that the game would be a certain way, and ignored a plethora of warning signs that the players might not like the changes.

7 RepliesI originally posted the following to the TWAB feedback post but it seems as though we share a similar opinion. First off I loved Destiny. I have a chronic illness which leaves me with alot of free time due to being stuck at home. D1 was more than a game to me... It was an experience. I met great people and made wonderful friends. It got me through some rough points in my adult life. Instead of trying to re-solve a problem that already has a simple solution just bring back random rolls. Quit trying to reinvent the wheel. You have proven that this was not done in the name weapon balancing. It takes just as much time for you to release a patch as it did in D1. Luke Smith was wrong. It takes great courage, confidence, and intelligence to admit when you screwed the pooch. He screwed the pooch.... He obviosly is to stubborn to admit this. He does not know what the playerbase wants or you wouldn't be undergoing such large scale changes or dealing with massive player loss. He should not be in charge of anything and should go back to his original position. At what point do you decide the square wheel just causes more problems than it solves. It's obvious he will not allow the current team (who had a turd dumped onto them) to make the necessary changes to fix this game. You wrote alot of nice words and thoughts.... Problem is they mean nothing. You lied about the XP fiasco so just admit it. This is the only way to regain trust. Quit dancing around the subject. You promised big changes for season 2 with improved faction rallies and IB.... You said they would be great and we would see that in December... It's january and we have not even seen an IB or Faction rally this season. You keep saying nice things and promising big changes but time and time again thats all it is.... Nothing changes, nothing happens, you go back on your word, or just flat out ptetend like these things were not said. Season 2 has been nothing but limbo as was half of season 1. This plan is not enough. Your words are not enough. Your actions are not enough. You are not listening. Due to this fact, similar to everyone on my friends list I am finally done with D2 after seeing this TWAB. You failed... You failed the majority of your playerbase... You failed to see what Destiny stood for. You failed to see the numerous warning signs... You failed your loyal D1 vets.... You failed with this TWAB... Lastly when this franchise dies remember it was due to your own greed, ignorance, and inability to actually listen when it mattered most.
Sorry for the long post but Im very dissapointed. It should say something that some of these things are just stringing us along to the next DLC. A DLC I already regrettably paid for and will not play.
Unfortunately, the fan boys are believing Bungie’s BS. They’re sucking down Bungie’s cock like they always do.
-
I believe...
-
Then why are you here?
-
3 RepliesYou don’t speak for me.

so by your logic, nothing said would make you feel differently. so why wait around to see it?
-
8 RepliesFalse statement...cause I believe em.

I'm starting to think they be lazy af. I heard they couldn't get everything they wanted in d2 either like d1 and that most of the story was scrapped or whatever the original d2 was replaced aka same old excuse from d1 I still play tho just because why tf not. I don't enjoy it or play it like d1 but I come.back on at least for trials and such
-
i agree ! totally over cooked ! done done done :-)

4 RepliesI'm enjoying the game and can't wait for the updates. It will be fun. Good luck and hope you find a game you can be happy with. 2018. Get over it.
-
2 RepliesBut you played today??

4 RepliesYou played strikes.....44 min ago.

10 RepliesDon’t be so sure, the fanboys are out in full force yelling (typing) as loud as they can, about how we now get what we’ve been complaining about this whole time. Unfortunately none of these things will be implemented until Fall 2018 (Or sooner). The fanboys are already at the defense claiming that the game will get better over time, and how Bungie tried something new that didn’t work. But I fail to see how taking out almost every aspect from D1 (that no one ever complained about) and giving a barebones, almost BETA like, game as a sequel is “trying something new”. Oh and SEQUEL being the keyword there, I’ve never seen a game franchise literally strip everything from a game that it built up for over 3 years and then sell it. I mean until now.

It's not DONE, but their bottom line is going to take a PHENOMINAL hit. Their deceptive PR tactics backfired on them in the worst way and created the opposite of why they were lying in the first place.Their arrogance caused their own players to turn on them. Many for good. I made this as a farewell to Bungie for good and why people are abandoning this game. "A brief synapsis. WHY players are ABANDONING Destiny." https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/241892689?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1
