This is absolutely ridiculous.

Look I saw no hope in D2 at first and I thought it was just gonna be another post for us to be disappointed by, but gosh dang they listened yet people still are complaining.
I thought people didn’t like D2 because it was bad and they wanted things to improve, obviously they are defiantly improving in this blogpost.
And it’s obvious that people are just hating for the hell of it now even though their wishes including mine are coming to life.
If you’re leaving D2 because of this specific blogpost. Take your hate and arrogance with it. You guys obviously can never be satisfied
I’m not gonna lie I was disappointed and complaining at first also, but this is a big step forward. Good shit Bungie, don’t ruin this positivity. I’m honestly impressed for the first time in a long time.
Edit- They did what we asked. Improved the game and brought things back from D1. Then people complain that it should’ve been in the game in the first place when everyone knows that.
That’s exactly why we complained for improvement in the first place and look they listened to us and now that it’s coming into the game people continue to be hateful. Just leave if you’re done.
Someone who explains it better https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/241837722/0/0

They did not do anyrhing. They will bring d1 fixes in 8 months. Nothing has been done. NOTHING
-
It's rediculous that all of the changes are needed in the first place. The game should have shipped when it was complete. This is what happens when you try to reinvent the wheel to meet a deadline.. .
-
I understand where you’re coming from, but a majority of the negativity stems from the concept: it should’ve been here to begin with. What makes matters worse is we’re stuck with a bland game until spring. Why did we pay $60 for a half finished game???
-
These were not good changes. https://youtu.be/Hwsk2x3eACE Watch and listen.
-
They haven't DONE anything yet. They simply have said they're working on these things and aiming for a Fall release... Also, most of what they are doing is just adding things that should have been there upon release to begin with. It's like we're going from alpha into beta phase in 6 or 7 months for a game we've seen before. I think people have a right to complain, especially when they coughed up $60 to $80 dollars (depending on the edition they purchased) for what is essentially an unfinished game.

Edited by Trindalas: 1/14/2018 9:52:41 PMThey haven’t fixed anything yet merely stated they plan to. They promise much, but deliver little. That and the timeframe it will take them to implement the changes is ridiculous, assuming they do so at all.
-
People can't be complaining because the basic features they're adding in should've been there from the beginning, no excuse People can't be complaining because bungie puts the only unique items behind Eververse RNG paywalls People can't be complaining because nobody can trust bungies word anymore People can't be complaining because there is no reason to do anything in this game because it's so dumbed down Why would anyone continue to ride bungies back like this? Could it be that since they're clearly incapable of creating a good game then maybe they deserve it?
-
Haters will be haters, some people just can't be happy. If D2 ever does meet their expectations, they'll find something like the Graphics to complain about.
-
They told us to "butter our popcorn", I did, sadly I was not impressed. If you ask why on Tuesday they put a patch so that everyone could do Faction rally and Iron banner, they could have added all the small stuff in that patch, for example, deleting multiple shaders. They could have added that but they did not.

The only thing that really sucks is that these changes aren't coming sooner, and I'm not attacking Bungie for that as it is unreasonable to expect that much in such a short amount of time and have it actually be worthwhile. We already did this song and dance for 3 years with D1, and it seems like we are going to have to do it again and I don't really care for that. It's exhausting waiting for the same things that were already added in D1 to be put in D2.

1 ReplySorry. The forum kind of turned into a cesspool of people who only know how to bitch and moan.
-
I don't trust them how can I. It's also gonna take to long. Idk if I'm gonna gamble and hope they come thru after waiting months. And GOD DAM I'm sick of leviathan raid lairs! Screw that make a new one for the next DLC seriously wtf man
-
Psst destiny 3 started development why not just wait because you know the third time is the charm baby! By the time they get it kinda worked out you're going to be half way through this games life cycle lol. If Smith is in charge of d3 development rolling on the floor lmfao.
-
Most of it was stuff that was in d1
-
Even if they said they were going to fix every single thing anybody has ever asked for and said that everybody would get 100% refunds on the game, the forums would still be flooded with hate posts. It's pretty pathetic.
-
As a wise man once said. This will all be completed by fall? So what they are saying is it takes less time to make a human than to fix D2
-
1 ReplyDude, you are living in a fantasy land. Bungie is your abusive lover. They've hurt you and lied to you in the past and always say they'll do better next time. The never gave you a reason to believe them before, so you shouldn't believe them now. Actions speak far louder than words my friend.

Edited by BoomboxCollosus: 1/13/2018 3:21:08 AM1. Still random Eververse loot with event based loot caps. The HALLMARK of Destinys cash cow FPS casino. 2. Mayem being saved to entice players to come back for the money grabbing seasonal events, even though players begged and petitioned to keep it. The same could be said for other game modes and small, simple things like synth and the like. Bungie doesn't even acknowlege petitions they don't like and won't even respond to them. 3. Bungies public admittance that the original game was chopped up only to be trickled out at a slower drip so that they didn't have to make more content stating that Eververse would be how they make money instead. Even if they slightly tweak it for normal periods to make it seem "more fair" between seasonal events, the random based slot machine is still very much in tact. So YES, even if you don't buy anything it HAS affected you as being more of a focus than content. 4. The ongoing slaughter of Bungies Halo 'Golden Age' reputation. When Bungie was fouded, their motto was a "player first" mantra that permeated throughout their history with Halo. We all smelled something in the air early on with their backpeddling PR and bits of discarded truth along the way, but we were happy with the progression of the game and kept our hopes up despite the fact. Now with this anemic DLC and the discovery of XP throttling and loot nerfing, we realize it was to frustrate players to give into the Eververse model and spend real money. A FAR CRAY form the honest, straightforward Halo days of just making a good game with the player as the central focus to sell units and content 'honestly'.

9 RepliesLet me get this straight Bungie is selling us content that was available in D1 that was intentionally left out of D2? I swear there was a post about this.... OH WAIT EVERY PERSON IN THE COMMUNITY CALLED YOU OUT ON IT! They are giving us nothing innovative nothing new. That’s poor work tending to show that yes Bungie it is too much effort to create a game. On that note, what the hell? Only raid weapons will get randomized perks? I admit I may have misread that, so correct me if I’m wrong. But seriously? They are so lazy they can’t even apply that to the whole game? We don’t even get it right away, we have to wait until season 3... so December. Really? They don’t even have the decency to give us this content in a timely manner? Are they that desperate to drag out the lack of game content they can’t even Inject their game with a bit of replay ability? I saw nothing of dedicated servers. Tess is still in the game. Bungie is still pushing loot boxes which the community has told them from D1 was a bad idea. Not only that they are making no changes! Instead of always providing loot you don’t already have there’s just a slightly higher chance of new stuff. All this is is Bungie wanting a do over. This update was not impressive.

1 ReplyThere great changes and they are all heading in the right direction(again) but most of it won't be implemented until late 2018(maybe). That's the part that has players just leaving the game. I will most likely play a little hear and there over the next few months, but nothing compared to what I played in D1. Its just not a fun game. It's more like something you do when you are really bored and don't want to watch TV.

I ahree with you, majority of this community lacks self-awareness. However I can't say I blame them because it goes deeper than just the TWAB. The community has held out hope since D1's launch that Destiny could be one of the greatest games created in history if not the best. The community stuck with Destiny and Bungie for four years to see this game take major steps forward to becoming a game that got looked so good when showed off at E3. Destiny 2 was Bungie's last chance after lying to the community the first time about D1 being great. But if you made a new game that takes major steps back after the first game needed a few more major steps forward to becoming a great game, along eith all of the waiting will enrage the community. It's because this community is tired of waiting for the game to progress towards greatness, especially after they find out they're back to square one.

They abandoned Vanilla Destiny to make a half back supposed sequel and now theyre playing catch up to vanilla' s year 3 content quality. This further proves that D2 is a lackluster expansion of the cabal and not a sequel built off of vanilla's various improvements. Bungie took 2 steps forward and 5 steps back.

You just don't get it, do you? DO YOU!?
