If you wanted the trophy you’d already have it. In fact you would have pushed to get it knowing that prestige activities were pushing to level 330. This is just a bunch of crying. No one stole anything from you. You had plenty of time to accumulate power level and beat any prestige activity before CoO came out.
It kills me, two weeks ago this forum was filled with the same crybabies saying that prestige activity wasn’t worth doing and now... you are crying that you don’t have access to the activity. GROW UP.

At the end of the day the same thing happened in D1. I bought the dlc because i enjoyed the changes and wanted to keep playing. Yes over D1 i realized it sucks to drain rougly another $60 into a game but the end results were kind of okay. I just didnt believe in upgrading to new gen and rebuying all of D1 expansions just for RoI. Now in d2 i have a Xone i bought the season pass. And i just hope they continue to improve the game like they say. Yeah it sucks some people cant do prestige now, but oh well. They still have the normal raid pvp and strikes. They complain as if theyre sad for players who dont have the dlc. But really they just want to complain. If you dont have the dlc, and are genuinely upset get a refund and stop supporting Bungie and Destiny. If you bought the dlc and hate it, try to get a refund and stop supporting Bungie and Destiny. Elsewise you can buy the dlc, enjoy the changes in Destiny, and hopefully the next expansion is the best thing for all the players. I bought the season pass because in the long run it saves a little. From D1 i have hopes that bungie can make d2 better. Its happened before, but trashing the company and developers over how upset you are with this working game at this point doesnt help anyone. They understand how angry players are. Im just gonna sit back and enjoy the updates.

You sound very sure of yourself. So you probably won't believe me, but I HAVE been trying to do the Prestige activities. I'm a new dad and I only have a few close friends online that I play the game with. We struggle to find time to get together and play (and these are the people I want to play with, because they understand when I have to put my controller down and tend to the little ones). We have been trying desperately to get together just to play the raid, and we have managed to coordinate that time enough to beat the raid once in 3 months. So I don't believe your assessment is accurate or fair - I have not had enough time to do what I want to do with the game, and quite frankly taking something away after just 3 months is ridiculous.

I’ve got 5 kids myself my friend. Finding time to game is not easy. It’s def a bummer players like yourself missed out on prestige activities but Christmas is right around the corner. Again, this isn’t about who has money and who doesn’t. We spend and invest time on things that are important to us. When my kids were new borns I missed out on games I wanted because they were more important. You made the right choice by choosing kids over gaming. Hell, right now I’m playing on a 20” tv because mine went out and as much as I wanna grab a holiday deal.... it’s not in the cards. So, when your kids grow up im sure you won’t tell them “damn I missed out on prestige activities because of you”.

Im not "crying" simply stating a fact. Maybe it is you who needs to grow up

To be fair my comment was a generalization to the part of the community “crying” over this and not specifically you. I am quite certain I’m grown and so much so that I don’t lose my mind over $20. By no means am I rich but I’ve busted my ass to be able to spend money on things I want. I won’t continue to read a bunch of whining babies cry that they had something they likely weren’t even using taken always from them. Especially when it they prolly waste $20 on something completely useless in life. Video games are an escape from the daily grind. You take a risk every time you buy one. If you feel burned don’t give them anymore of your money.

To be fair you did say i was crying and no one is forcing you to read comments. Were you aware that this is the first time a gaming company has locked a trophy that came with base game behind a pay wall?
-
Actually there have been many games requiring network functionality when you can play offline with no need of internet play. Thus forcing you to play the game online in order to achieve all the trophies. And I was speaking in general terms.
-
Completely different. I worded it poorly. Its the first time a gaming company has locked a trophy shipped with base game behind a paid dlc
-
You can rest easy since bungie is saying that a fix is in the works.
-
In a comment on another post i expected they would.

Nah I disagree. If it's a base game trophy it needs to be unlockable in base game, regardless of time or dlc.
